9/19-20 Thursday/Friday Game Thread (Fruits vs. Trees edition)

Make that 21-17, SJSU punches one in to stay within range. Sounds like they're making a lot of noise in Pullman tonight, which is cool. It'd be neat to see at least 1/PAC2 do well this year and sadly I'm not sure it's going to be a great season for the beavs

Syracuse was a bad loss for us, the fourth easiest game on our schedule.
Still too early to tell tbh and the new college football means our traditional wtf loss alone doesn't eliminate us from anything. NCSU in 2000, Duke in 2014, maybe Syracuse in 2024.

I don't know what the deal was with McCord, wh wasn't just off, he looked pretty bad tonight. His OL let him down plenty but it seemed to get inside his head early. That sideline interception was peewee.

Nebraska couldn't lose that game at home. Matt Ruhle now out of the Gators Sweepstakes.

CW is the new worldwide leader as far as I'm concerned

Wow. Listening to PAC commissioner Teresa Gould talk for an entire segment is like the antithesis to every good reason for watching a football game.

SJSU took a 38-24 lead but it's down to 38-31 and Wazzu gets the ball with 12 to go.

You somnambule sons of bitches are missing out. Wazzu leads 43-38 with 5 to go. They missed the 2-point try just now so SJSU can win it with a touchdown.

46-46, headed to 2OT. Both teams immediately threw interceptions in their first OT possessions.

What stood out to me last night was how much bigger Stanford’s players are than ours.

Or am I just imagining things…? Having a consistent pass rush must be nice.

Syracuse was a bad loss for us, the fourth easiest game on our schedule.
Didn't catch any of the Stanford/Syracuse game but looking at the box score, the most disappointing things that come to mind rehashing our game against Cuse, are Syracuse's ability to control our run game and our inability to get any semblance of a pass rush. If we don't make significant improvement in these areas, today's game against Louisville will be another L.

Just looked at Stanford’s roster on D. They have five linebackers 250 lbs or bigger. We don’t have a single guy that big at the linebacker position.

We have to recruit better at the linebacker position…even though Efford is a badass.
