acc agreement

When you are in pain because the P/A is at 110 decibels and you can't even have a discussion with the person next to you, it is a problem. I have considered bringing my concert earplugs or even just wearing my Bluetooth earbuds
It’s a shame that the band doesn’t play anymore. I enjoy listening to the band. That’s a collegiate atmosphere.

Just read about the new deal, new exit fee, retainage of rights, etc.

Let the coaching staffs throughout the GTAA do their thing for the next 4 years so Batt and Cabrera can spend 90% of their time getting us a landing spot. RIP ACC being a "power 4". It's over.

By my reading, they're just guessing on who will "benefit" from the brand distribution. I'm assuming our strong showing last year will cancel out one of the down Clown years and we'll be around average to start off. Keep up our momentum and we'll be set to have an above-average distribution going forward.
We shall forever more refer to them as the "clown years".

Every signal seems to suggest that we really do have an invite and the ACC knows it.
Otherwise, the new ACc will form as this: GT, Miami, Clem, NcS, UVA, SMU, Stan, Cal, FSU

2031! This is such a big year, so many rights deals expire, it will be the great reset for college athletics. Ergo, between now and then is probably the most critical 6 year stretch to be good, relevant, and competitive.
If Tech can maintain its current trajectory over the next 6 seasons, I feel good about where we could land and our overall status for the foreseeable future. If not, we could be with Wake Forest as a used-to-be major program.

....to the ACC when the BIG10 invites one of the most prestigious engineering schools in the world into their league.
Already happened. 98% of StingTalk preferred the ACC. Smart.

This exactly. The ACC has never done GT any favor. In fact, they screw us whenever they can.
The ACC should have negotiated better. Should have negotiated for 95% of the highest payout of any conference. That way, if the SEC gets a a billion dollar deal, the ACC deal is at least 950 million dollars, automatically.

Just wondering if the ACC will distribute the buyout money or try to hold on to it. Let's say we get a spot with one of the power 2 a year or two
after several schools have already left we might get enough to help offset our buyout. But I suspect the ACC will hold on to the money at least
for awhile. Maybe the league officials will even give themselves a bonus for doing such an outstanding job.
