That's not the question. It is: Does a player have to make All ACC to be considered above average?
The statement I'm contending is that Gibbs was the only above average offensive skill player on the roster the past few years. I listed about a half dozen who are on, or have a chance to be on, an NFL roster. Your response was how many of them made All ACC? My response was intended to assert that there are many above average players in any conference that do not get all-conference honors, so then - above average is not defined by being all conference.
There are what... 4 All ACC teams, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and HM? That's 4 full teams worth of players. There are 14 teams in the conference. So, the other 10 teams worth of players are all below average? Only 4 out of 14 starters across the conference are above average?
I would say making all conference means you are above average, and you don’t even have to argue about it. Do other above average players not make all conference? Sure. There are years when the conference is stacked with great QBs or RBs.
Now, does making an NFL roster mean you were an above average college player? I don’t believe it does. Hell, Tech has seen several players make practice squads that I would call average or even below.
