I’d be surprised/disappointed if we only won 2. But wouldn’t be the first time.
I am at least giving us 3 wins.. However; while I would be HIGHLY disappointed with a 2 win season. I would not be overly surprised.

WCU is a give me. If you are predicting a 3 win season, then we are looking at 2-4 in the coastal. That is awful, just awful for a 4th year coach. We should have made the coordinator switch last year on D. Two years of terrible was enough for a unit not making a transition. For O, I can see CDP getting last year since Sims looked ok as a true freshman. I thought the O looked predictable in 2020 (and 2019), but I can see him getting a year 3 chance. After last year, he had to go.

We’ll see if the new staff can show life in the offense. On D, we’ll see if CGC can fix it. He IS a solid DC.

Wasn't the Citadel a "give me"? Just asking... Middle TN?? I don't share the same optimism.

The Citadel runs an unconventional offense. MTSU broke the seal on the fact that the game had passed Al Groh.

WCU is one of the most over matched teams we have seen in years. If we can’t blow them off the ball, then we haven’t recruited öööö since CGC stepped on campus.

Citadel runs an unconventional offense?? Did you skip 10 years of GT football?

Same. Collins has already demonstrated that he’s more than capable of losing to any team.
It's basically his calling card at this point. I think every season he's been a HC here and at Temple he's had an absolutely mindboggling loss to a team he had zero business losing to.

I think that’s the real worry. If you believe those Athlon anonymous coach reports, other coaches in the ACC think that’s the case.
Ehh... "coach 2" or whoever it was said the same about Clemson. Those anonymous coach quotes always bring out the worst takes.

Are you referring to the 10 years we ran an unconstitutional offense? Or are you referring to the fact that GT ran the same defense MSU ran to counter that offense? The results were similar. Hell, we trotted out the same bad scheme against KSU. Luckily, they got behind enough that they started throwing, which is a bad choice for that offense.

I saw several plays in that game where our D was looking to the sideline with their hands facing up, waiting for the defensive play call. They weren’t stealing our calls. We weren’t even getting them called in.

We got skull ööööed by a COVID-ravaged Syracuse squad literally starting a 210 lb reserve TE at OT. There is no D1 team in the country that I’m scoffing at with CGC on the sideline.
You have a weird definition of skull-ööööed then. We outgained them by 100 yards, had 9 more first downs than them and 10 minutes more TOP. The 5 turnovers and 15 penalties is what did us in. Not to mention that weird ass delay at the beginning of the game that threw everybody off when we were ready to play, and zero fans in the carrier dome for that game. It was an all-around weird game and we had several out for COVID protocol that game too IIRC.

Promise you, they stole our signals. That's why we were scrambling because we were too stupid to figure out what to do so the best we could come up with was getting them in as late as possible to keep MTSU from having time to adjust.

If we end up on a trajectory of 2-10, does the coach make it to the end of the season?
