ACC Schedule Release

Pretty reasonable airfare to Denver on Delta right now. Just booked Friday night to Sunday for 24k miles. Refundable in case I decide to stay longer.

Every effort is made to start us off at 0-1 in ACC play by the conference office. The prohibitive favorite and highest ranked team in the ACC going into last year was FSU. Next year it will be Clemson. No surprise here. Just so ready to join another conference.

I think I would rather play them early...we have the experienced QB, lots of offensive weapons...once we throw Deion into the Moffett Tunnel, we will be in good form.. This is clearly a early season made for TV game (rather it be noon or 8pm). Would you rather play them later when a quasi HOF coach has time to develop his new team???? If we are serious about making a push...beating Colorado and Clemson in first 3 weeks PUTS us in the Conversation.

Or, every effort is made to get us an early marquee win before the prohibitive favorite is exposed as a fraud? ACC knows we won’t shit the bed against a highly ranked opponent. Gets the ACC an early big win to jerk off to the rest of the season. I personally prefer to play the bigger games early before those teams are clicking etc. I am extremely confident in our squad and staff. I expect us to handle Clemson at home on our way to a CFP bid.

Would be so awesome if this was a night game. 8pm ACCN. Maybe 7pm ESPN2. But I'm sure it'll be the noon kick that follows Gameday on ESPN. SEC has three blockbuster games on 9/13 so ABC is already taken lol

Conspiracy much? Would you rather play Clemson in November? Come on already. GT agreed to play in Dublin fwiw. So I’m not sure why you feel like the big bad ACC office is out to get GT.

GT has one of the easiest ACC schedules on paper the next 2 years.

2025:
No SMU, Miami, UofL, FSU or West coast trip.

2026:
No SMU, Miami or FSU. Easiest of the West coast road trips to Stanford.

If GT was in the B1G or sec, would you think the schedule would be easier? Simple answer: No.

Everybody knows that if you play Clemson, play them early in the season before Dabo's assistants figure out what's going on.

Well, I am happy for you guys that are pleased with our conference opener being with Clemson. You certainly don’t seem to think the ACC meant us any harm - remember to keep up that positive attitude and remain assured Charlotte only wants the best for Georgia Tech.

But, if I wanted us to start 0-1 n conference play I would start us off with Clemson - the team that has beaten us 9 straight times. The last time we beat them was a November game in ‘14. They are considered the best returning team in the conference next year.

Plus, if I wanted to aggravate Georgia Tech I would give them a September 13 home game, knowing they do not want one with non-conference home games on September 6 and 20. With our home game the last Saturday in November moved to Mercedes-Benz stadium we only have six games on campus, and now they are three in a row early. Half of our games at BDS will be complete by 9/20.

I know we ultimately have to play them all and I hope we win them all. But, I really hoped we would not get a home game on 9/13 and I also hoped it would not be with Clemson.

You do realize someone has to open with Clemson and they weren't exactly world beaters last season.

What if we win?

Wouldn't that give us the inside track to the ACCCG?

Your entire premise is based on the assumption that we are not *that* game for Clemson.

We are like 6-1 against ranked ACC opponents under Key. If anyone has reason to be terrified about this game, it's Clemson not us.
