ACC Schedule Release

Well, I am happy for you guys that are pleased with our conference opener being with Clemson. You certainly don’t seem to think the ACC meant us any harm - remember to keep up that positive attitude and remain assured Charlotte only wants the best for Georgia Tech.

But, if I wanted us to start 0-1 n conference play I would start us off with Clemson - the team that has beaten us 9 straight times. The last time we beat them was a November game in ‘14. They are considered the best returning team in the conference next year.

Plus, if I wanted to aggravate Georgia Tech I would give them a September 13 home game, knowing they do not want one with non-conference home games on September 6 and 20. With our home game the last Saturday in November moved to Mercedes-Benz stadium we only have six games on campus, and now they are three in a row early. Half of our games at BDS will be complete by 9/20.

I know we ultimately have to play them all and I hope we win them all. But, I really hoped we would not get a home game on 9/13 and I also hoped it would not be with Clemson.
Boohoo.
Clemson forums melting down that their schedule isn’t fair, having to play Tech on the road early in the season after Tech has a cupcake at home the week before.

This works out great. High-profile OOC opener, a win gets us some attention. Clemson at BDS bookended with two winnable OOC games.

Take care of business, 4-0, Top 20 ranking, a remaining schedule where, if we come to play week end and week out, we have an opportunity to have a damn good season, Top 10 ranking, ACCCG, CFP.

Let’s Go!

Having half the home games before 9/20 is a bummer due to the possibility of 3 noon/3:30 sizzlers for the home fans. Obviously the ACC office isn't going to care too much about that, though I'd hope GT would be forward-looking enough to make a request to avoid this situation.

I'm excited for the season regardless, of course.

After the winter we’ve had, I can’t wait for the noon sizzlers.

I will take a snow game with wind chill in the teens over a noon sizzler every day of the week and twice on Sundays. You can always put on more layers. There's only so many layers you can take off. (Legally.) (And then you'd just get sun poisoning anyway.)

I sit in the East stands - several Miami games ago, noon kickoff, I had left my hat in the car. It was hot as F, so I ended up going to the concessions and getting one of those cardboard multi-drink/food carriers, and placed it atop of my bald head. It did help. I’ve never ever forgotten my hat after that.

Back in the day, there was always a newspaper handy.

You say that now. Come September, you'll be begging for ice!

Look at the 3 month temperature outlook….The deep freeze will be a thing of the past for most of the country starting by the middle of this week. By May most people will want cooler temps.

I absolutely hate being cold. Totally disagree. I’d rather be sweating than freezing. I’ll make an exception for next year’s first round home playoff game.

I was just at the Ravens- Bills game in Buffalo, with temps approaching single digits. With the right technology there is no reason to be cold anymore. I never turned on my heated vest. I left the blanket in the car, nothing special on.

What a loser mentality.
Which conference team on our schedule would you pick to be the most likely team to give us an opening loss in conference play, and why would your pick reflect a winner mentality?
