ACCCG dream matchup..... re:location

Unc absolutely deserves to be in if they win. No one is really debating this though, right?

People are saying a 2-loss Stanford team that wins the Pac XII would jump them.

If UNC wins and all others hold serve I think the playoff looks like this:

#1) Bama
#2) Iowa
#3) OU
#4) Stanford

#5) UNC
#6) MSU
#7) Ohio State
#8) Clemson

I'm not saying I agree with it. I think UNC is a really good team, which is really ironic (am I using this right?) given the pre-season picks, etc.

Gonna be a lot of holding calls and personal fouls on UNC this weekend if the ACC office is thinking the same

That is an excellent point. Clearly a system where the conference would be biased toward one team over another is a flawed system.

Like accidentally giving one team a 5th down?

Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly but I don't recall the ACC officials really screwing us over last year and they'd have had similar motivations to do so with regard to getting a team in the playoff.

They didn't really have to. Unfortunately FSU played their only perfect game of the season against us. Turnover-wise, at least.

The tin foil is thick with this one.

I am a GT fan. Some things are burnt into my memory. For example, I remember the 1997 GT/UGAg game and going to work the following Monday like it was öööö yesterday. I might have been paroled by now if I had followed my instincts when a Gagger at work threw towel and said "There's the flag!!!"

And we still could have won the game. I'm saying if it was true that they were going to make sure the potential playoff team won, then we wouldn't have been in position to win the game.

Wouldn't that be something... ACC refs screwing over UNC against a Tobacco Road outsider.

I wouldn't count on it.
