According to rivals, we now have 3 new

We've got a lot of schollies to give next year. Even if these guys aren't super-uber-amazo-allstar players, if they're dedicated and focused they can fill out a roster nicely. And think about how psyched we'd be if we had this many recruits at this point last year.

It's great that we are getting some of the guys that we are after. Can anyone chime in with any more info on these guys though? Seems like most have not been heavily recruited by other programs. Not always a bad thing, but you obviously can't rely on all sleepers...Again, if PJ wants them, and he obviously did, great pickups. Just looking for more info...
They've all been recruited by multiple programs, but it's early on in the process. Lots of teams offer at their camps except for the guys they've seen elsewhere. I think these guys are fine and will be 3s at least. Plus if CPJ wants 'em I don't care what they're ranked.

Drummond is a big, strong dude who moves really well. Excellent reciever too.

Crenshaw was dominant at the camp and is very quick

Moore is fast, shifty and tall. He is not afraid to block. Legit 4.5 guy.

Finch was a dominant OL at the camp. Very fast with good size.

I usually feel good about the guys who the coaches see in person at camps. One good thing about PJ is he's very, very specific in what he's looking for.

Does that mean I get your coolpoints for not being able to follow it?

beej67,
guesses it's C code?

Just a quick question, is PJ Ahead of where GT is usually in recruiting or is he about where chan usually was about this time of year?

I think we had something like 13 recruits by the end of August for the 07 class.

This is a good pace for us, because we'll take something like 27 guys this year. We can still fit a "Chan sized" recruiting class in above and beyond the guys we've got commits from.

Do you think PJ's staff is just doing a better job selling Tech or do you think that Tech's attractiveness has implicitly increased with the addition of Paul Johnson?

Maybe the fact that UGA isn't offering as many kids this year and they wish to stay in-state?

I think a lot of it is based on what pj and the staff is doing instate. They have GA set up into 9 sections. Every coach has one section. Visit every highschool in that section even if there is no D1 prospect. That way you can set up friendships with the highschools. We already have as many GA recurits 8 as we signed last year. 80 percent of our prospects are from the state so far.
