I hope it doesn't come to it, because non-revenue sports are genuinely doing the best they have in a long time. The GTAA has mostly shaken off the Mike Bobinski hangover except those stubborn revenue sports.

I see a pretty tight consensus among fans on the next FB HC, but mostly crickets on who would replace Stansbury. If it does come to it, I hope to god the boosters who talk to the AJC aren't allowed free reign to make that decision, since the last time that happened Zelnak selected Bobinsquatch as AD and the GTAA hit a multi-generational nadir as a result. The candidate pool at AD seems to be a lot thinner.

Graham Neff ... AD at Clemson, GT alum.

That's probably it for the obvious list. But I'd add a bit of an off the map selection. The best AD bar none the ACC has seen since it finished it's last round of expansion: Tom Jurich.

No idea why the board wouldn't let me tack this onto that post ... so have one more:

His resume at Louisville was pretty much top flight success across the board. He took their facilities from C-USA level to among the best in the ACC. Their annual revenue is more than double that of GT.

App state is pretty good at finding good coaches for their program. No idea who the AD is but they keep hiring successful coaches.

We need to look for potential candidates with BIg 10 connections. The only solution to our funding issues is to join the Big 10.

Someone needs to convince Cabrera that Big 10 membership is the way to go. He gets to associate with his AAU peers. In addition, we should have the funds to add soccer teams for men and women.

We might even be able to add a hockey team. They would have the potential to break even since we would be the only hockey team in town.

TStan has to go. The non-revenue sports won't sustain success for too long if the revenue sports are dumpster fires. Neff isn't going to take a step down and it needn't be a Tech man. I am sure there are plenty of candidates but I don't keep up with up and coming suits.

There’s a reason there is no hockey in town. No one in the south cares about hockey except for a few homesick Yankees.

Nobody cares about the non-revenue sports which is why they’re “non-revenue”. Saying we do so well with non-revenue sports as a reason to why you don’t think Dingleberry shouldn’t be fired and then recommending another “Tech guy” for the job pretty much solidified my opinion that your suggestion for AD hire is dog öööö.

Those homesick Yankees make up like 90% of the population of Metro Atlanta. GT could absolutely get good college attendance numbers bringing in Wisconsin/Michigan/Michigan State/etc. (Not that I think GT having hockey is a near-term possibility).

Alabama-Huntsville had a D1 program for a long time, if they can, we absolutely can.

Well that is bull öööö...we just got stuck with öööö owners the last time.
I don’t know how old you are but Atlanta has the dubious history of having 2 professional hockey teams to move out of town due to lack of interest. The Flames and later the Thrashers.
