After the game thoughts...

With all the boneheaded plays I've seen by the various punt returners last few years with the exception of Jerrard... I'm okay with the safe option.

I'll go ahead and decide not to say anything about our kickers cause I don't want to get banned.

Exactly! Laskey hasn't screwed up to warrant a change. He's a true freshman who just played his fourth college game.

Poor Stephen. Even if he did twinge his hammy he should've instinctively at least made the catch. Beautifully thrown ball from Tevin. Josh would've thrown it over his head.

It's nice to see a QB make those throws

Tackling for us really sucked on some 3rd down plays. We should not have even been in striking range though. What happened to CPJ's nerve on 4th and short?

Very lucky to win this I think.
Bull. We made it hard on ourselve but to say we were lucky to win is stupid. Rather UNC was lucky to be within 7 at the end due to our mistakes.

Interesting. Usually it's fans of other teams that give players öööö. He dropped the pass. He, and you, need to get over it.

I'm not trying to give him öööö for it, just the people that blame the dropped pass on a "strained hammy"

I think the point he was trying to make was... who the @!#$!@$@% cares?

Take the ridiculously full retart pissing contest to the PMs.

and for those of you that like to take the drive-by cheap shots at Joshua Nesbitt, STFU! He has contributed much more to the success of GT football than anyone on this board (short of Mover!)

They did have him with some tape around his leg on the sideline afterward that wasn't there before, so something happened.

His leg isn't hurt. He's a kid, he was embarrassed, let's move on. He's been a stud all year long.

I want to see the replay, but overall I think we're "competitive". However, considering four of the team we're playing soon have lost or are losing to bum teams, I'd say competitive gets us at least 8 wins, maybe 10.

On the punt that appeared to have room for a pint...GT had a block on with no protection for Laskey... With a play on like that coaches will always tell the PR to fair catch the ball...and that is exactly what he did. I think when he gets more experience they will turn him loose a little bit more. For now the safe play is to put the ball in our offenses hands. No one has stopped them yet..they have only stopped themselves.

Anyone can drop a wide open pass at times - hammy or not. It happens.

Not everyone can make a grab like he did in that 1st half.

Calvinesque.

CPJ said Wednesday that the return team isn't blocking well enough to give Laskey a chance at a good return.

Criticisms or not, right now we are the sh*t! We found a way to hold on to a close game against a good D. We should cruise until the Clemson game. By then we'll be even better.

Thinking about it, I'm glad that UNC gave us a little bit of a scare.
It's too early in the season for us to lose any respect in the polls, but it was close enough to remind our guys that they can't take anyone lightly.

I don't think we can say any certainty for away games at Virginia and Miami. Next two yes, and we'll be favored for the two after but not guaranteed.

I don't think UVA is going to be much of a challenge.

Unless we're somehow worried that GT is worse than Southern Miss.
