Quiet, you. Don't bring your logical arguments into this discussion, they clearly are out of line with the "our conference is an unparalleled embarrassment" narrative.
 
I'm going full Woody Allen here:
It's like refusing membership to a country club because their standards are so low they allow YOU to join.
.....Well I guess that would be a better analogy if we refused to go out of feeling it was "unearned"!
