Any insight on whether Tenuta stays??

There's a lot more to it than pure coaching or track record. In putting together a staff you want guys you know and trust and are confident you can work with.

I can give you a list of the 10 best people in my field in the country, but I wouldn't want to work with more than 2 or 3 of them on a daily basis. When I'm putting together a team for a project my first concern is "Can I work with this guy?"

If these coaches are indeed terminated....how do you calm the RIPPLE effect as we approach the bowl game....Not to mention who will coach the team during the bowl? How good are these coaches that PJ is placing on staff? Better than the ones he is getting rid on ??? DC???

Paul will assemble a good staff, he will be interviewing new candidates in the coming days. Jon is coaching the bowl as well as the other assistants that is not changing.

Giff could be a candidate for DC if JT does in fact leave.

Is there any speculation that we may try and get Geoff Collins back on the flats....The guy is a good coach and can flat out recruit

Does anyone have any idea when JT's status will be announced? We're quickly approaching the quiet period for recruits, and I'm sure there are some of them waiting on the answer as well. I can't imagine JT/we will wait until after the bowl game.

Other site reporting!

According to one site Tenuta has been told he will not be retained.

He will coach in the Blue Field Bowl.

GO Jackets!

Dont take this to the bank just yet but I think Giff stays and Jon leaves. I think its safe to say almost all the offensive staff will be gone. I expect us to maybe keep on 2-3 coaches one being Giff who I think is a definite to stay on now. Sewak coming in could be a possibility as well as 3 from Navy it looks like. The staff may be rounded out as early as next week. I hope Jon stays but it will be very tough. Andy McCollum has been rumored to be a possible candidate to come to GT as well.

Very interesting on Mccollum. Former Marietta High School player and MTSU head coach. Great recruiter. Knows Georgia extremely well. Kind of got the shaft at MTSU. The coach following him won with his players that he put together to make a run. Former defensive coordinator at Baylor with good results. Would be an excellent pick at one time was the hot young coach.

With McCollum at DC (or LBs at the least), where does that leave Giff (same position?) or BJM?

Seems the word is that Tenuta is out and Giff in, which I prefer, but it will be interesting to see how everything rounds out...

according to Rivals...there is a third candidate being interviewed for DC besides McCollum and Giff.

Collins is trying to take . . .

. . . our candy as we speak. Big Bad Saban has told him to use his inside Tech knowledge and build enough lies into his message that would tell our current commits that Bama wants they would be fools to go to Tech.

You want see that slug back this way.

Go Jackets!
