App St vs. Coastal

Do not compare the awesomeness of the Fridge flexbone with PJ's QB-Option offense. An offense that completes something like 45 passes in an entire season is not something that has any place on the Flats anymore. öööö that.
What you also refuse to recognize is that PJ had more tools in his tool belt than the TO. He proved that at GA Southern. He didn't need to at Tech, because he had the players to make the TO work, and in the very few years we had poor records, he didn't have the players to make virtually any kind of offense work. And don't say he "couldn't recruit". He did the best with the resources that other POS TStan gave him. If he had been given the resources that Collins was given, we would have been highly ranked every year.

players quitting on a coach is never a good look.
They didn’t quit, they just got beat. PJ Fleck is a great coach, and they went 11-2 the following season. It’s tough when we were expected to be playing in Orlando at the Champs Sports Bowl, but then we get screwed over and sent to Detroit.

App State will win by 35-31

We also beat a playoff contending FSU team in the worst season of PJs career, we beat 3 straight SEC teams in one season, we appeared in two orange bowls, winning one, we won an ACCCG, and appeared in 3, we beat UGA 3 times at Sanford, etc. etc. When was the last time you could say we were that good?
Gawd, puhleeze let J.Batt's new guy match this!

Yet another team that "just beat" the hell out of us in a bowl game even though we had an alleged "talent equalizing scheme".

boo hoo, PJ always getting screwed over. By the refs, by ACC scheduling, extra practice, bowl games, by the media, by the admin, by other coaches, by us fans!!

Whoa to PJ the martyr! Why is everybody always picking on him??

It's either a load of tinfoil-hat bullshit or else having PJ as HC made things unnecessarily difficult for a school already facing difficulties due to our lack of an attractive curriculum for dumber athletes.

If true, then it will be nice to have a coach who isn't so thoroughly disliked and doesn't put us at a disadvantage just by being HC. Chadwell seems to be solid in that category! (not thoroughly disliked)

Let's let this go. Not sure using PJ's last game in a toilet bowl (which you can argue against or for being fair we went to that one at all) as proof he was a bad coach. I don't think that is a sound or good arguing point.

Back to the topic, I'd be ecstatic about Jamey Chadwell or Garrett Riley. Gimme that delicious offensive scheme baby! BOB would be an extremely risky hire here at this time.

Who is better, App St or Michigan? Who was better Georgia Tech or FSU? Need I go on?

What offense do you think the Baltimore Ravens run? It’s literally spread football, just option deep in the backfield, which every team runs. Coastal just runs it more.
I guess when we get into a league where every team has very much comparable rosters across the board and can draft players it could work out.

It works on the biggest scale of football with the best defensive players in the world. It will work here.

You ignored the second part of my point. The Baltimore Ravens can draft their team. It’s not only about coastal Carolina’s offense or coach. It’s how it will work with Georgia Tech and the biases we are already facing.
