Can we please get rid of this ATL crap and use 2-deeps like the rest of the football world?

Clearly ATL doesn’t apply to vital positions like QB which means the whole concept is a gimmick. Collins finally started getting rid of some stupid gimmicky/fake things like the money down… if we can get rid of the ATL that would at least satisfy me for the rest of the season.

Particularly because the ATL hurts probably our best offensive player on the field. Dante Smith has something special. It doesn’t matter if we have other guys that maybe better situationally in practice…Smith gets it done on game day. Why aren’t we using him to his full potential.
 
Re: Money Down.
It’s my understanding, which certainly could be in error, that a Tech football supporter with ACTUAL MONEY expressed his displeasure, saying something to the effect that continuing with the “money down” BS would jeopardize his future level of contribution. As I stated, it’s possible that I00% in error, but it does make a good story. BTW, there are still MONEY DOWN signage on the sidelines, but seems to no longer get announced.

Smith just gets the job done, but he's a lowly 3 star CPJ recruit like Mason. McDuffie and Hall are his guys and they're gonna play. At some point Long is going to have to put his foot down and do what's best for the team. I hope it's sooner rather than later.

Geff is probably a perfectly fun and decent guy to be around. It seems that pretty much all of the players like him. Getting so buttmad over the inconsequential details just dilutes the real problem.

If Tech is 2-0 and ranked in the top ten coming off a NYD bowl last year, @Mcho40 is starting a thread about how cool the ATL concept is and why he loves taking money shots on money downs.

But Geoff hasn’t done any of those things. That’s why fans are bitching about things they didn’t like to begin with and were told was for recruiting yet recruiting hasn’t improved and he lost the best players he brought here. So fans don’t want to see öööö like money down or ATL anymore. That’s how reality works.

or the Juice Crew. So there really is jazzercise going on.

And I don't for a minute believe that not having a two deep and having an ATL list gives any kind of advantage. Opposing coaches breaking down footage can tell who is going to start and who should be starting. They got guys breaking down every last possible iota, right down to who looks hurt
