Onward Reserve is a men's apparel brand launched by Georgia graduate TJ Callaway, popular in SEC and Southern circles. Kirby Smart, Trevor Lawrence and Jake Fromm have all been spotted in Onward Reserve gear, and so Callaway is leveraging the new rules to market to dudes of a certain demographic.

Certain demographics? What could go wrong lol

Can’t wait for a uga player to show up on a Legends of the Confederacy or some other flea market type shirt.

1. Start an "apparel company" and get licensed by GTAA
2. Give money to players as an above-the-table bagman
3. Declare loses on the apparel company and basically make bagman activities tax deductible

So this is basically a way to make paying players tax deductible.

Or commit fraud somehow, what could go wrong.

How is that fraud? You can open a cafe press store to sell clothing with the person's likeness.

IRS will let you run a business at a loss for 2 years (need to make a significant profit in 3 out of 5 years).

When you precede your business proposition in a public posting with "this is basically a way to make paying players tax deductible", I just think "time to see a lawyer".

The same way professional athletes compete in the Olympics.
That’s wrong in my opinion too.

if any of you think that this kind of stuff is good for Georgia Tech athletics I respectfully disagree. This will only further widen the gap between the haves and the have-nots. The gap between the University of Georgia, Clemson and Georgia Tech football just got even wider.

instead of getting a win against one of those programs every 4-5 years it will be once or twice in a lifetime.

Yea, it’s bad for Tech. Those paying players can now do it legally. The bagmen will be more brazen and the money being thrown around by the factories will be more obvious.
