CPJ essentially just said that on the coaches show.

Said a kid is gonna be awed in a sold out stadium that is full and rocking as compared to one that is not.

That's something I didn't really consider but he's definitely right.

Someone tell him that winning games will result in a sold out stadium.

We will never sell out our stadium following a 3-9 season, or when we lose two straight home games.

Not saying that people should be fair weather with attendance. But to put it in CPJ's words, iiwii

You are the problem in this equation. I show up win or lose. What's your excuse?

This is just a fact. PJ can accept it or GTFO. People are not jazzed up about getting out to see the option game go .500. I get that people who have 30,000 posts on a GT message board make it to the games no matter what, but we cannot fill up the stadium with people like that. Hell, we cannot even get the student population jazzed up for a GT football game...that should be mission #1.

Win and they will come. Following the best finish to a GT season in 25 years with a 3-9 season is not how you put butts in seats.

Another L, another way to deflect blame. Nothing to see here. Rinse/repeat.
We'll see what excuse is this Saturday..."Pitts Dline were all wearing shin guards, neutralized our ankle biters"

Not exactly fair. If we are a huge state university in a college town then its support the ol' team win or lose. You've nothing else to do on Saturday and its a way to get the community together. In a major metro area that has a lot of out-of-state transplants, it's entertain us or we will go find something else to do. Unfortunately, Tech is small, dispersed alumni and is in Atlanta metro area. Gotta win to bring em in. Reality.

Then maybe they shouldn't put the recruits next to the letterman section that is constantly empty.

A few things:

1. The Falcons faced the same problem when Blank bought the team. He dropped upper deck prices to $10 a game. The dome started to sell out.

2. We have crapped the bed in most of the marquee games we've played at home. We won Clemson years ago, but when two ranked teams meet at BDS, we generally lose. Fix that.

3. We haven't beaten the dogs in our stadium since Clinton was president. Fix that.

4. People hate noon starts, stand up to espn every now and again.

5. No one gives a crap about Mercer. If you bring in a fcs team, make it a HBCU and let them bring thier band. Otherwise, risk bringing in Kansas state

Vote for Hillary and we beat UGA?
I'm with her.

Relying on winning to put butts in seats is a whiny ass way of improving the program. You have multimillion dollar programs out there actively trying to prevent you from winning games. Football isn't a calc test where everyone can be equally successful if they just work hard enough.

Donate money. Buy the empty season ticket seat next to yours and bring new fans. Throw a good tailgate before each game so that everyone has something to look forward to regardless of the outcome of the game. Show up on time. Cheer loudly.

I'm gonna go ahead and double down on this. The offense is polarizing to recruits, too. The big name players that have the skill set for the in road to the NFL want to play in a system that will either train them in an NFL style or showcase their talents. That gives you pro-set offense or shotgun spread with a big mix of run/pass option. If you want to peel recruits off the factories you gotta give them something to be excited about.

"Pitt's defense is one of the best we'll see all season"

If that's the case why does Miami recruit better than we do?

winning, and winning consistently and convincingly, cures many ills
