BCS NC Thread

It almost looks like the freshman QB is the only player on the field on some of these plays.

The physicality of this game should tell us something about where we stand.

Yeah, he was around the Texas 15 when they brought him down. I could barely even see him on my big ass HD TV, EDSBS will have pics of that, no doubt.

Hey guys, isn't this game just amazing. The BCS system is the way to go. Texas with an injured McCoy would lose to most teams in the top 10 IMO. This is such a joke.

McCoy better have a damn separated shoulder. If he's holding out to protect his NFL prospects then...

"Daddy, Colty has a boo boo"

He'll never make it in the NFL.

Cajun, I'm all for a playoff. Some of the best games I watched this year (and in years past) have been the FCS playoffs. I think you should repost your playoff strategy you posted a few months ago. Good read.

To be fair, Texas could easily have played its way to the championship game and then lost McCoy.

That said, I'm rooting for this freshman QB to do something hawesome. Just to get some ammo for firing back at the SEC fans. "You let a freshman QB do what in the NCG?"

Crappy OL blocking, Texas. Pick it up, everyone else needs to PLAY to pick up the slack at QB.

Thanks, man.

So how do y'all think ESPN is going to spin this one? They are probably going to attempt to play down the McCoy injury as much as possible. I bet one of the analysts will try to feed us something along the lines of, "That's the game of football. If you are the best team in the country, you have to avoid injuries and withstand injuries. Alabama is definitely the best team in the country no doubt about it. Look at how well the Alabama defense performed this entire game. [insert clips of Alabama eating up the Texas RBs on all the mesh reads because everyone knows who is getting the ball]." I can't wait to watch some comedy on ESPN when I wake up tomorrow.

No one in their right mind can watch this game tonight and defend the BCS. It's a JOKE. It's the definition of anti-climactic. It always feels like something is missing after the MNC. I never really feel like the winner is the champion as I do in College BBall or after the Superbowl.

Oh well, regardless, Alabama is a great football team that is deserving of the crown. Congrats to Nick Saban. He is truly one of the great college football coaches and, mark my words, will be winning many more BCS bowls and National Championships.
