You couldn't be more mistaken. What has happened is you gold-smoke-blowing-Braine-kissers cannot stand for someone not to toe the party line. On the hive, anyone that doesn't kiss up to RR and toe the line gets drummed out. And y'all tried to do the same here.
I am probably the biggest Ga Tech fan in the world, but I am not going to sit back while Braine destroys the magnificent job that O'leary did by hiring the most mediocre coach he could find. And that is not second guessing Braine.....that is first guessing.
And when you start moaning in a couple of years about how 'Buck' hasn't turned out, you CANNOT say you weren't forewarned, because you were.

This is the last thing I'll say on this:

I have no idea what Beedumb is talking about when she keeps referring to the Hive. No clue at all. Maybe the part about wanting to kick her off. I don't know. If that's the case, then I'll retort. differing opinions are welcome. But not Tech bashing opinions. No one wants them here. If you think it's just me, then try bothering to read the opinions of the other 299 members here who have all told you to can it.

Beedumb DOES trash Tech. On a regular basis. Every day. Trash the coaches, or the admin, and you are trashing Tech. Period.

To continue with the white trash beating hubby, you muswt have the same relationship with Tech. But it's not good for the wife, and it's not good for Tech. You need to realize that. The people on this board are tech fans. SUPPORTIVE Tech fans. Beedumb is not.

Finally, tell me what keyboard shortcuts you've programmed in to make your responses sound so much the same. I know that you have the phrases "gold smoke blowers", "braine kissers", "u.p.", "this is not the hive" and many others programmed in, but what program are you using for it? Our receptionists here could really use something like that!

I can accept your opinion, and respect it.... and as I have said in the past... you and I probably agree on our opinion of Mr. Braine... but what is the purpose of spewing the same crap over and over... we get it... you are not high on Gailey... not high on Braine... you really loved Mac.... you dont believe in our direction... we get it... honestly, I wish we had another AD... but what good is it going to do for me to infect every thread with that opinion? Maybe I am wrong in my opinion of our AD... it has just seemed to me that either you are only here to disrupt the board....

And am I mistaken that you have purposely chosen not to answer questions directed towards you... I know you havent answered any I sent in your direction.... why is that?

I have been under constant attack on here because I publicly stated that Braine had made a terrible mistake in his coaching selection and that in the way he did it he mistreated our previous coaches terribly.
But because I didn't bow down to 'Buck's resume, many of you have decided to attack me over and over and over again making it necessary to state my opinion over and over and over again.
Pretty simple....almost as simple as clubbe.

Sorry to perpetuate this topic but I had to chime in... I loved having O'Leary as our HC. Back in 1994 when I sat through every home game of that miserable season who would of imagined that O'Leary could turn the program around so quickly? He was a heck of a coach and he was a better coach when he had Fridge to compliment him. Together I think the two of them would of won a MNC or two.

Now then I still have the utmost respect for BigBee and I still think he is a hell of a coach but he was the one that chose to leave Tech. We did all we could to keep him here and if those transgressions had come up while he was here nothing would of happened. Notre Dame made a mistake by letting him go and settling for Tyrone Willingham... they'll be looking for a new HC in two years.

Frankly I could care less about 1.5mm buyout. O'Leary built our football program back up and for that he has my undying gratitude.

I firmly believe that Chan Gailey will do bigger and better things than BigBee did. If he doesn't then Beeware I am sure you will have a lot of folks joining you on that bandwagon of doubt. However give the man a chance to prove himself on the field and on the recruiting trail.

So folks Beeware is entitled to his opinion just like the rest of us. While I don't appreciate his attitude about Chan he has every right to be here and express himself in that manner.

Oh and I didn't turn on O'Leary... he turned on me and went to Notre Lame. I myself am of Irish descent but I am also a lifelong Yellow Jacket!

From what I read... YOU were the one who began attacking... My 2 cents. O'Leary was awesome (except for last season).

Braine is awesome. Why? Hewitt. And Golf, Baseball, Softball, Football for the past few years. Mainly Hewitt. Tech sports is taking off. Entered the Sears ranking for the first time ever at 50 (i think it was 50)...

Jury is out on Gailey, but I think he's gonna be really good. I don't know about other candidates, but Gailey has an awesome resume (Except for the OC job at Miami). I just pray it was O'Leary calling all those damn run the ball for 2 yards plays last year, and O'Brien will light it up.

I don't know how to put this: But George was following his dream. And that was coaching at Notre Done. Did he make a terrible decision? Of course. Had he remained, he would have had his own statute next to John Heisman in about ten years.

But to put myself in his shoes and if someone came along and offered me my dream job, would I take it? HAIL YES!! If Delta Airlines came along and offered me a chance to become an airline pilot (my dream job), and pay for all the flight training from PPL to ATP, and put me on the flight deck, I would tell my present employer, "SEEYA!"

That is exactly what George did! He went to his dream job.

I hated to see him leave and was depressed the entire month of December, with the exception of the Seattle Bowl win. But I do understand him leaving. Had it not fell through the way it did, I will pull for George, but root against Notre Done.

I appreciate EVERYTHING George did for Georgia Tech and I will admire him for all that. But he moved on and so did we. Chan Gailey is our coach and deserves our support. He will be a great hire, despite Beeware's predictions.

BTW: Did'nt Beeware first start posting on The Hive as "UnionGrover" calling for George's head? Then changed his font to something else? Finally he surfaced as Beeware until Army Jacket or Coldbeer did a IP trace and found out that all those were one and the same?

You're trashed Tech with just about every post on the football board here. It's unbelieveable that you can state above that you haven't.

You don't just dislike the decissions Braine has made and dislike Coach Gailey. You've made personal attacks towards each of them and towards anyone that is behind braine and Coach Gailey.

You're bitter about The Hive. You've stereo typed people that post on the Hive.

You won't shut up that you are right and everyone else is wrong.

I'm one person that has never come out publicly on this board or any other board other than being thankful for what Coach O'leary did for GT. There are many others like me.

Listening to you day in and day out is getting pathetic.

You've trash Georgia Tech, it's administration, it's coaches, and it's fans over and over and over and over. It's beyond rediculous.
