I wouldn't say we were really competitive with them last season. We were competitive for a half, yes, which is better than most teams were, but it's tough for me to look at a 37-14 score and say that it was a competitive game. I'd like to see us within two scores before I start calling us competitive with them.

And now the word "competitive" has lost all meaning in my mind. Competitive. Competitive. Competitive.

We were as competitive than LSU was, regardless of the score, and with a 3rd string QB at that. To me, "competitive" means they had to exert themselves to win the game. I think UGA finally had to do that with us this season. I think it will be better next season. They'll lose the following starters from this years' team:

• Stetson Bennett - QB/H (SR)
• Kenny McIntosh - RB (SR)
• Kendall Milton - RB (JR - likely jump)
• Marcus Jacksaint - WR (JR - possible jump)
• Arian Smith - WR (SR)
• Kearis Jackson - WR/PR (SR)
• Darnell Washington - TE (JR - likely jump)
• Trammel Walthour - DE (SR)
• Zion Logue - NT (R-JR - possible jump)
• Jalen Carter - DT (JR - likely jump)
• Robert Beal - LB (SR)
• Chris Smith - S (SR)
• Jack Podlesny - K (SR)
• Payne Walker - LS (SR)

You cannot just replace that many key starters two years IAR and not feel it.

Milton has already said he's returning and I bet the 2 WRs come back as well. RB is never going to be an issue for those dipshits as they just stack 5 stars there. They also got 2 of the better WRs in the portal to pick them. I asked my Uncle who is a big donor/alum about their dudes leaving or staying over the weekend....He said he's "heard" that Logue and Walthour are coming back....He also said to expect a decent amount of portal entries from their roster and mentioned some of the names would surprise their fan base.

A good many of the guys you listed aren't starters, granted they play a lot of minutes.
