why is that on a GT website??? ...guess its more of the marketing plan to get Atlanta to like us.
 
some of you guys are just nerds plain and simple. Outkast is on the "clean" side of hip-hop. Are any of you familiar with hip-hop? i didnt think so.

So maybe next time we can get it really dirty and bring in this bullsh*t soulja boy nonsense or these damn ying yang sisters garbage.

Big Boi will be a great halftime show.

Maybe if we had a better product on the field we wouldn't have to have gimmick concerts at half time to lure in "fans".

This is not about "luring" fans to this game. It's about beginning to develop a relationship with our home city.

Now, I don't know about you, but why have an artist sing at a GT halftime event whose song and lyrics are something 99.9% of the people on this board have never heard nor will they go out and buy the music afterwards? That is called pimping yourself out if indeed we're doing this to endear Atlanta to us. The team (and maybe some recruits might like it), but guess what, they'll be in the locker room. Just my opinion here....to all the big boi afficianados here ;) keep defending like you have his cd collection... its quite funny.

As for me, I'm buying one of his dogs to bring to the game... you know, just to further endear Atlanta to us... :laugher:

big boi does stuff like this at Woodward Academy where all of his kids attend also. I'm guessing if those snobs will accept him, our yuppies can handle him. i'm guessing geetee is not a yuppie but is a snob.
 
ok guys let's think about it here. Recently Mike Vick just got kicked off the Falcons team and the interest in the Falcons decreased 1000% over night.

That's were we come in. There are current a lot of people that want that diehard, exciting, football atmosphere to be part of. You have a local act, that alot of young people (both black and white) can relate to. You get them to the game and pulling for the home team, passing out shakers or shirts or something. Folks that usually only go to NFL games, realize how much more electric cfb is and really enjoy themselves. You slowly start to gain sidewalk fans, which leads to increased revenue which leads to increased winning percentage in the long run.

If this was Ludacris I would be much more excited. Which I guess isn't saying much, but I actually enjoy Luda's music.
