Looking at the intro to these uniforms they're not advertising it as the 'Black Watch' unis... It's just a black variant they came up with highlighting the 'glow' via the 'Ghost' look.

Exactly this! Those in the video are not Black Watch. Back then it had to be earned.

Unfortunately we had to do away with the black watch GTs on the helmet because the NCAA had implemented some rule of uniformity in the unis. I still think it was a cool idea. You know who 'earned them'.

I really don't care what we wear but those are not what the Blackwatch defense wore in 1985. and you just didn't get the black GT you had to earn it.

I believe Black Watch was only on Defense. At least that's how I remember it.

Sideline reporter saying that players were complaining of being hot and overheated while they show a clip of players being doused in water to cool them down was good too. It’s like no one on our sideline even considered the idea.

Not the reason we lost, but it sure didn’t help to have players having heat issues.
