Has there been a Pro or College job open where the fans haven't mentioned Gruden? :lol::lol::lol: Tennessee was all but sure he was going there a few years back :lol:

Tressel isn't necessarily banned. The NCAA would default to penalties on Nebraska just for hiring Tressel and Nebraska would have to show cause for why they shouldn't receive penalties. Any sort of common sense makes it a de facto blackball.

The more bizzare hire is Tressel as President of Youngstown State. He was a very successful coach there, sure, but it's like CPJ becoming president of Georgia Southern. He doesn't know the first thing about academic administration.
 
When big jobs are open like this it's so funny to just follow the roller coaster of fans. Texas last year was one of the funniest offseason boards I've ever read. Checking flights, obvious trolls everywhere, etc.

Remember when demjackets posted that thread about White Smoke awhile back when we had hired Groh supposedly? Best thread on stingtalk

Scott Frost better coach somewhere as head guy before trying it at Nebraska. Nebraska is a lot like us, hard to get kids to come there, fanbase living in the past glory years. I think they will go for a bigger name than Scott Frost. What they want is another Tom Osborne, like we wish Dodd lived.

Frost is their Bill Curry, basically. Except even more so since he won a MNC there as QB under Osborne.
