yeah, McTit was finished in 56 so definitely after that.
Dude, what are you talking about. You clearly know nothing about Fenway.
In 2003 seats were ADDED to the Green Monster.
In 2004 seats were created in right field.
In 2005 they added club/pavilion seats (adding 852 pavilion seats, 745 pavilion box seats, and room for 200 standing room only seats).
In 2008 boxes were added to the State Street pavillion level and seats were added along the left field line.
In 2009 they expanded the right field roofbox seating.
In 2011 they did a full remodal of the D concourse.
Since 1999 Fenway has undergone ELEVEN major construction projects. Fenway has undergone CONSTANT construction such that its capacity has changed over THIRTY TIMES since 1947.
A few examples:
And an aside - I don't care about symmetry. To be a better program though, we will need a bigger stadium (and to find fans to fill the stadium). Changing the east or west configuration could easily get us to 60-65k. Ideally we could get to the 66-67 range - that would put us even with Kentucky and VT.
One of the main drawbacks of our program is that we don't have a "big stage" so to speak. We would get a lot more recruits with a bigger (and more full) stadium.
I've been to Fenway a few times so I know exactaööööingly what I am talking about. Seats added where seats can go. Not symetrical. I never said that nothing was ever done to Fenway. They did it and kept the place pretty much like it has been.

Then tear down Wardlaw and do a Texas A&M style endzone, but the last thing we need right now is more seats.
Your original point was to leave the place alone and then you pointed to Fenway. My response was that Fenway has certainly not been left alone over the years.
Now you've changed your stance and are arguing that seats were added where seats can go, so I guess it would be ok to add seats to Bobby Dodd where seats can go.
On top of that, Fenway didn't just add seats where seats can go, so you are completely wrong. They created auxilliary press boxes in 1999. They created a club area after the 2005 season. 1300 additional seats. That wasn't just adding seats. That's building this guy:
They created the coca cola party deck in 2008.
Those are massive seat projects that added to the stadium infrastructure in addition to building more seats (unlike just adding seats on top of the green monster where there was an existing open space).
Then you missed my original point. I LIKE the new north, that was added recently, as was the LE and LS - similar to Fenway. However, we don't need to be going and tearing down our "green monster" the upper east because someone doesn't like how our stadium looks in an aerial photo. The UE are the best sideline seats I have ever sat in, as far as pure viewing experience. Plus, we don't need more seats.
Pretty much this.
But i'm glad you guys got your love out for the Alumnis, Carter-Finleys, and Byrds of the cfb world.
Byrd?
...DRad said he had long term plans for BDS, but apparently his career path had a faster yield and maturity rate than BDS.
Dang...where did all those people come from? Doesn't look like they are playing WV in that pic.
This thread keeps reaching new levels of derp.

I propose we take the Kyle Field approach until capacity is just over 200k.
I'd like to have the first million man stadium.
Tech should figure out how to build that
