Heard we were notified at half time we got the last bowl game slot. Anyone else hear this?

I think there were a few 5 win teams playing tonight that we’d have to wait on to be sure. We need 5 unfilled slots to get in via our APR rank.

Who we need to cheer for then?

Miami (5-6) - Pitt is at 8:00 PM tonight
Vandy (5-6) - UT is 7:30 PM tonight (UT likely wins)

Missouri (6-6) beat Arky for their 6th win
Miami (O) (6-6) beat Ball St (5-7) for their 6th win
UAB (6-6) beat LA Tech

Rice (5-7) lost to N Texas
FAU (5-7) lost to W KY
UTEP (5-7) lost to UTSA in OT

Louisiana (5-6) beating Texas St
S Miss (5-6) and UL Monroe tied

GA Sou (5-6) getting beat by App St
Auburn's (5-6) getting beat badly by Bama
Michigan St (5-6) getting beat by Penn St

Based on this, I'm not sure how it looks...

Auburn, Miami, Rice, Michigan State are all ahead of us in APR so they are ahead of us no matter what they did or will,do. That makes 81. The good news is there is no one else ahead of us in APR other than the 4 teams mentioned that will get in with 5 wins. We can’t have anyone else get to 6 wins

Southern Miss now up 20-10 with 4 minutes to go. If they win that makes 82 ahead of us and we would be out. 78 teams at 6 wins and 4 ahead of us on APR.

Ant chance someone declines a bid?
I'm wondering if that is a hard and fast rule. to go by APR. If two teams are close, can they give it to a team with a bit lower APR? Auburn's got an interim, too, so they might decline. If we name Key, we might get a bid over them? Maybe?
