I would have been happy with it at the beginning of the season. So there's that. But being 4th in the ACC, it's disappointing. FSU getting screwed and ND taking a slot screwed us.

The ACC is a dogshit organization and our continued association with it will soon preclude us from competing nationally in this sport.

Troy probably disappointed too. They went 11-2, won their conference, can't even get a bowl out of their state. And they get a tough 6-6 opponent

As notable in Skydog's post, this isn't normally a sun belt bowl. Is the first time a sun belt champion has gotten a power 5 team in a bowl actually.

Some of you will bitch no matter what. We weren’t getting Gator Bowl so our options were either New York in a ööööing baseball stadium 3 days before New Years or playing 2 hours from Atlanta where Tech fans shouldn’t have an excuse to not show up.

New York is a much more appealing destination than ööööing Birmingham. Regardless, I’d go, just like I’ve been to 11 of our other 12 games this year, if it wasn’t 2 days before Christmas when I already have travel booked for some family Christmas stuff. Bowls before Christmas are garbage.

If Key can get the team to show up for this one, I’ll be impressed. I’ve travelled to see us not show up for better bowls than this.

Maybe next year we can beat teams like Boiling Green and Boston College and not have to pick between playing a New Jersey team at Yankees stadium or Troy in Birmingham. I’ll see you at the tailgate bud.

I would have liked that too. I’ve been to Annapolis and it’s beautiful there. But if I had to pick between New York and Birmingham I’ll choose the Birmingham bowl even though i realize it’s öööötier. We’ll be in the playoffs next year.
