Bowls, CFP, and other Disappointing Games Thread

Championship games are a money maker. They will not get rid of them.

So I can see them doing away with the championship games and just seeding based on the regular season record.
They are not getting rid of Conference Championship games as mentioned above they are $$$ makers. What is going to change is what happens to the loser of the game. If you go by the “rumored” 16 team 4 + 4 + 2 + 2 + 3 + 1 model, it will ensure the loser of the game is guaranteed in. The 16 team model would be:

Guaranteed teams by conference:

4 BIG
4 sec
2 ACC
2 B12

3 at-large (including ND) and 1 G5 team.

In the end probably the safest bet on the next update to the CFP in 2 years. While the ACC, B12, G5 and ND can oppose the new format, ND and the G5 know they will lose their auto bid if they go against the guaranteed 4 teams each from the B1G, sec. The format also gives the ACC, B12 a chance at 3+ teams on a good year.

Did Ohio state have their entire DL out for the first game? How did they lose to Michigan? Crazy.
