BOWLS

Hopefully, this is the beginning of a nice downward spiral for Clemson.

It looks like it. There is no 'go to' receiver, and no dominant RB (Shipley is very good; but not great). They look like a top 20 team; but missing some key pieces to be a top 5 team.

Tennessee needs a new DB coach. They have been guilty of blatant PI all game.

Why 20 years? Why not check the last 50 years? How about the last three? Looks like you're cherry-picking stats.

The last 3 years Colorado is 9-21, including 1-11 last season.
We had an aberration as a coach the past 3 years.

50 years? No. Irrelevant.

that’s like saying we have more NC’s than UGA and are a better football program.

Deion took a worse job than GT. Period. Admit it!

Just made me mad to realize how good Tennessee is and how easily Georgia beat them. Same is true of Oregon. Time to pull hard for the Buckeyes tomorrow. And next year, the Dwags face the murderer’s row of UT-Martin, Ball State and UAB in addition to the weak SEC East. Ole Miss and Auburn are their West opponent’s. They will be 10-0 headed to Knoxville on November 18, easily. They really need to lose tomorrow.

Clemson didn't want to be there; but that was the biggest game Tennessee has played in decades.

{that's how SEC fans explain losses like that}
To be fair, UT had tons of Opt outs, missing their QB (injury) and both leading WRs. And the fan base felt like we should have been at the Sugar Bowl, or really in the playoffs because that lost to Scar still makes no sense. So while yes it was technically the biggest game in 20 years, I think many vols fans expected a let down.

Tennessee was easily beat by Scar too. I'm not convinced this Big 12-style offense is going to lead to games where the timing is just slightly off and when things don't work there's no good plan b. Quite candidly just like the triple option. When you can't get the dive play up the middle and when you can't get numbers on the edge, you tend to lose badly.

Make the three FG's and it's a 1-score game, and if Klubnik doesn't run on 3rd and long with no TO right before half, they get a short FG then, too. That's 12 points left on the field by Climpson. 31-26.

Climpson had 34 first downs to UT's 20, 484 total yards to UT's 375, but 2 TO's to UT's 0. They also screwed themselves up in the RZ time and again after not finishing drives, missing 3 FG's and wasting a shot at a 4th. You cannot win games against good teams like that.

Clemson looked like the more talented team, but Tennessee looked far more experienced/prepared.

ESPN got it wrong. Sort of.
