Brent Cimaglia-Grad Transfer PK

You know, I really don't keep up as well as I should but I seem to recall signing a couple of supposedly good FG kickers the last few years.

I guess it is what it is but what happened to all those guys? At the end of the day, I'm glad we have addressed the need but I just had a mental recollection that we had recruited well in this department.
I remember mostly walkons. Scholarships to HS kickers are hit or miss - it's a big difference between HS and FBS.

High school goal posts are 23'4" wide and 20' tall from ground while NCAA goal posts are 18'6" wide and 30' tall poles from ground. High school hash marks are 53'4" from the sidelines while NCAA hash marks are 60' from sidelines

Post Butker, the only one I recall starting on scholly was King. CGC brought in a few pwo's, the most promising of which was Verdisco, who had surgery and missed last season.

We are fortunate that Wells had that one good year. Probably don't make a bowl in 18 without him.

If anyone has concerns about him going 5 of 9 last year, he was banged up. Was on the Groza watch list after going 23 of 27 as a junior. So, he should be much better than serviceable.

No one is worried about that. 5 of 9 even if he was healthy is a huge improvement.

No one is complaining. We’re all very excited.

Huge. A single player that will take us up 1-3 ppg for the season. Doubt anyone else has that much value beyond Gibbs/Sims

For sure. Ill get hard for 5/9 and only missing one XP

Anyone know his kickoff stats?

Looks like he hasn't recorded any since his freshman year when he had 4 TB on 10 attempts. I guess UT had a kickoff specialist.
