Brent Key presser

Should be around 11 or so. Hopefully the interim AD will be there as well

Hopefully Key will announce Thacker's firing and name two new coaches as his first order of business.

I actually feel sort of bad for Key. If he truly has been hamstrung by Collins this whole time and makes great progress the rest of this season with this team (and specifically the OL), he's still likely canned unless the new coach wants him and he still wants to stay after being passed over for the job, which is unlikely. He'd have to basically win out for fans to be satisfied with him staying on as HC because we all want new blood. If Collins proves to have been the sole biggest problem in the organization, we could rattle off 5-6 wins out of the last 8 and make a bowl but that likely won't be good enough to keep Key around.

If we win 6 more, we would be idiots to not hire Key.

Don’t feel too sad. He’ll find another job no problem.

5/8 plus a bowl win would get him the job. So would 6/8 and a respectable bowl loss. 5/8 with a bowl loss would be more iffy.

We have Pitt, FSU, and uGa as big games left. Then there is Miami, Duke, UVa, VT, and uNC as more winnable games. None of those teams outside of uGa are outside our talent level.

Frankly, getting to a bowl (5/8) would be enough in my mind. That would be a 0.625 win percentage taking over a team halfway thru the season. I think he gets an interview at 4 wins.
<= 3, he gone
4, maybe
>= 5, Brent Bama eyes

Edit: this is all hypothetical, not a prediction of how many I expect him to win.
