He wanted a more diverse defensive strategy. One that sucked during the blitz AND in pass coverage.
 
Holy öööö. They replacing all the terrible coaches with ones Tech's coach doesn't fare well against. 3-7 may not be an aberration.
 
schools throwing down the gauntlet for bigtime coaches in ACC, due to the playoff and money involved.

GT the school better catch up to allow us to succeed....otherwise...bad news.

It almost seems to me like they're all making choices based on not losing to GT.

And then VT decides to do whatever possible to leave their DC in place who has admitted to spending half the spring prepping against us.

This after Notre Dame this year actually demoted one of their field coaches to a 100k/yr office job, who's only job was to formulate a defensive game plan vs GT and Navy.

It's ööööing bullshit.
 
What will happen when the Mormon coach meets Cavman? Doesn't seem like a good cultural fit. Only commonality is that Thomas Jefferson and Joseph Smith both wrote their own bibles.

Or they're trying to win games. Richt played for Miami and his name has floated around for years pertaining to that job -- probably from before Johnson was even here. And why wouldn't UVA hire a proven winner after firing a proven loser? Or VT not want to keep their DC, who's the only thing that's kept them from being an ACC bottom dweller over the last 5 years or so?
