Bud Foster getting advice from Willie Martinez

IIRC, we haven't had one chop block call this year. If we have more than one against VPI then the conspiracy is obviously on with Swaffart playing the role of Jack Ruby.

Indeed, with how we've been playing, if we get more than 2, 3 tops calls on chop blocks in the game, some **** is going down because while a really good defense can force us into mistakes, I don't see us ****ing up that much after 6 weeks without a problem.

I wish Bud Foster would say:

"One thing we learned from Georgia is that the safety needs to rush up the field and break up the option. Stay inside and move fast!"

Correct. Look for an unrewarding first half of Saturday's game while CPJ processes the data. If VT stops us on our first four or five possessions, it will be imperative that our defense stop or at least contain Taylor from getting too far ahead. But then watch us roll. From a purely athletic standpoint don't you think Georgia's defense, man-for-man had better players and more speed than Virginia Tech? CPJ has said it: athletic superiority trumps any scheme. If Georgia's defense couldn't stop us consisitently I don't think Virginia Tech will have that much success.
