Can Ole Miss please be unranked now?

They went into this week with wins over Wofford, UGA and Memphis. Lost to Arkansas. Horridly overranked.

It's a similar story with Tennessee, A&M, and Arky. There are no quality wins on the board for any of these teams, except over each other.
Any team that puts a beat down on the dwags like they did is number 1 in my book.

Well, plenty of SEC fans would be happy to have FSU in the SEC....therefore FSU is pretty much an SEC team.
Bobby Bowden said that he chose the ACC over the SEC because he thought it would be easier to win a National Championship in the ACC. He said he didn't like the idea of having to play at Tennessee,Alabama,Georgia or LSU on a regular basis. FSU would have a difficult time getting an invitation to the SEC again because of that. Most of the SEC fans i've talked to would rather invite Virginia Tech or Clemson to join the SEC than FSU.

Yep.

That decision has everything to do with Bobby Bowden commentary and not millions of dollars in TV revenue.

Actually, they are already in the Florida market. Virginia Tech would expand their TV access like Mizzou and A&M did.

The SEC wants UNC for the Carolina tv market and to complement the Kentucky basketball juggernaut. A uga fan told me this, and he was serious. :lol2:

Florida #15
Arkansas #17
Auburn #21
Ole Miss #23
LSU #25

The only win over a ranked opponent among those 4 is Arky over somehow-still-ranked Ole Miss.

If this isn't proof of how far gone modern pollsters are, idk what is. :faint:

One man's circle of destiny/suck is another man's proof of playing in the most difficult conference.

Statistically speaking, Bama hammering USC to open the season and Tennessee over VPI at Bristol are saving the SEC from being the worst among the Power 5 this year, in terms of strength of schedule. They may actually be the worst despite those wins.

• Mizzou lost badly to WVU
• Miss St lost to South Alabama and to BYU
• GT walloped Vandy
• LSU lost to Wisconsin
• Southern Miss beat Kentucky
• Clemson beat Auburn
• FSU beat Ole Miss
• LA Tech and Nichols St gave away close games to Arky and UGA
• Arky and Vandy needed overtime to beat TCU and the Hilltoppers.

That's right: half the SEC has at least one out-of-conference loss. Others came dangerously close in several games. And we're not talking about Top-10 competition in these games either: many of these are unranked or mid-majors. Yet here we are, with half the conference in the Top 25. This is like watching CNN circle the wagons around Democrats.

Tennessee and Ole Miss are middle of the pack teams. Ole Miss should not be ranked and Tennessee maybe bottom of top 25. The sports media would never own up to it, but they rank these teams based on the way they want to see things rather than the way things actually are. Just as political as politics itself.

Go Jackets!

You are missing #18 Tennessee.

Tennessee beat Florida.

I left Tennessee off because they have an OOC win over the Hokies. Though they're overranked, they deserve to be in the top 25 still. But beating Florida is not the quality win it's being made out to be.
