The posts here, in large number, are over the top. Decisions have been made and none of us here have any insider information to add. Is it necesssry to constantly use adjectives such as clown in regards to our program? Do you really believe you in any way, are helping build the program. It is what it is, support Tech if you are a supporter. Otherwise just keep it to yourself or simply go away.

Nope, it is officially silly season. We should all take off 2 weeks. Come back and discuss who signed with GT and any coaching decisions that have been make.

Instead we will make each other crazy and “analyze” to the nth degree “decisions” that are unfounded and have not been made yet.

It is going to be awesome :-(

What you don’t know is that the OP comes from a long line of proud clowns. His great great great grandfather was the court jester for King George III. So when you call Geoff Collins a clown you’re insulting 5 generations of clowns in OP’s family.

I get the impression that a nontrivial portion of the fanbase does not want the football team to reach the 8-win goal set by prominent boosters for next year, that some "fans" will be rooting for Tech to lose out if the 7-win mark is reached. The implication here is a scenario in which Tech losing our 12th game of the year is a means to justify the end for them. Those of this mindset will mutter under their breaths "Well, I'm glad I don't have to worry about us getting seven wins" but on the off-chance of it happening they will come to a crossroads. I hope I am wrong. I want Tech to win as many games as possible because Saturdays and seasons on the whole over the past few years have been miserable save for hanging out with friends.

Coaches make good salaries, so most of them expect to be judged by the outcome of games, mostly by measure of wins and losses. In reality, there are lots of things that are out of their control which contribute to success, but their 6-7 figure salaries come with the assumption that fans don't want to hear excuses. It seems odd to me, though, that so many people assume firing a coach is always a magic formula for success the next time around. Improved recruiting does not change a team overnight, especially on the OL and DL. CGC has had 2 recruiting classes after inheriting a roster that was frankly not P5 caliber. I agree that it's hard to imagine a team getting worse than what we have right now, but most fans realized that transitioning from the TO was going to be a long-term project as far as real improvement goes. Most of us just didn't expect to get so much worse.

I found out today posts on stingtalk are over the top. It blew my mind.
