Catch Me Up?

Some how, some way, CGC is going to pull 4 wins out of his ass and Todd is going to give him an extension for recruiting reasons.

The better team doesn't always win, but things like luck and injuries tend to balance out over a 12 game season. You'd like to have a few opponents that are significantly worse, which can improve the odds for a minimum of 3-4 wins. Unfortunately, the only game that qualifies this season is WCU, and maybe Duke. I think we will need to avoid some bad luck to get to 5-7, and require some good fortune to get to 7-5. Anything is possible because the conference is likely to be down with all the coaching changes, and our QB competition has the potential for an emerging star. Every year, one conference team surprises everyone, so maybe this is our time.

You answered your own question. He has only had 2 stops as a HC and the first for only 2 years. So he's basically had one opportunity to turn things around somewhere and this year is his chance. If he doesn't then we move on.
Agree to disagree there. He made Temple, yes Temple worse than they were prior but he consistently sucked. Then he came here and ruined us even further. 0-2 or 0-5 if you go by the seasons. So your to your point? We shouldn't have to move on, because Stansbury is the only dipshit on the planet that takes a boat that floats and throws an anchor thru the hull. I don't think the transition by anyone with half a brain should've resulted in 9 wins over 3 seasons and a prayer for this one.

This is such an ignorant comment. He made Temple worse? Temple is not a school that "reloads" after 10 win seasons. They had a ton of guys end up in the NFL off those teams in 15-16. Even with Rhule's back to back 10 win seasons, Temple was averaging less than 5 wins per year up to that point dating back to 2000. It's even lower if you go further than that. So I wouldn't call having 7 and 8 win seasons after losing NFL caliber talent "making them worse." Also, Rhule's first two years were worse than the two previous so would you say he made them worse as well? That's the same comparison you are making to Collins. Sure last year sucked and I expected more from us. I don't see how you could have expected much more out of GT for the first two years of this transition no matter who was coaching, especially when you throw COVID into it. You are severely underestimating how big the task was to transition. Like I said I expected more out of last year and was disappointed. Most program rebuilds start showing results in the 3rd year. I'm hoping that with the offensive transition, COVID year, and maybe not having some of the correct pieces in the coaching staff, that is why our rebuild is taking longer. I expect a turnaround this year and if we don't show one, I will be the first to show him and TS the door.

Oh, my fault. "I've seen" you basically go against any one on here that calls it like it is and says Collins is a joke. Other than that, I haven't seen you offer a logical explanation or why. And I'm guessing, you still have your mom cut the crust off your sammiches. That part I haven't seen, but I'm thinking I'm probably close. What have you seen Honey BooBoo?

I’m certain if i posted anything football related, it would go over your head

Only ignorance, I see, is the ignorance of not seeing that Collins is a BS artist. I am willing the bet, you will not "show him the door", after next season. I expected a turnaround 2 years ago. Maybe not a bowl, but something to show a positive trend.

If I’m not mistaken UCF has a bunch of starters returning from a team that won 9 games last year, and we are on the road. Don’t like our chances in that game.

OMG. I would love to see Vegas Odds on that! 10,000:1.

There are better odds I go back to graduate school at GT and walk on as the oldest CFB defensive end older than 50 years that runs a 7 second 40 yard dash.

You are 100% wrong my friend. I don't know of anybody willing to keep him if we have another sub-par year. You guys that are 100% against him are the only ones I see thinking that people are all-in on him. Nobody is all in on him. We are rational and giving him the benefit of the doubt for all the hurdles he's faced. This season is it. It's time to show results or go. If you expected turnaround 2 years ago, that was delusional on your part. He had 1 season then COVID hit before he could even have a Spring with his first recruiting class. I don't know how you expected anybody to make any significant progress with that.

I don't see many games, outside of Western Carolina and maybe Duke, where I do like our chances.

As ibeeballin said earlier, we haven't seen these players do anything yet. We don't know how good - or bad - they're going to be.
But complete lack of faith in the current head coach gives me great pause for the coming season.
