CFB Championship Covid Forfeit Rules

Also, I was today years old when I realized the depth of Bama coaches from the George O'Leary coaching tree. That's pretty cool.

The CFP's announcement came less than 90 minutes after Alabama announced that offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien and offensive line coach Doug Marrone had tested positive for COVID-19

Add in Brent Key from a few years ago.

Actually playing the game of football poses a much greater risk to the players than the omicron (?) variant of the virus does. No college football player today is going to break their neck or have knee surgery or walk around in pain 40 years from now because of the omicron variant of this virus. Based on what I hear on TV news, a college age person, especially one who's vaccinated, will have less threat from getting this omicron variant than they would from playing one play in football practice or getting the flu.

So, what is happening? It seems to me like our lives are being ruined by a severe case of political correctness. This is another case of the powers that be not having the least regard for the fans. One day, they will wish they had the fans back. They expect fans to contribute money and attend games. They don't think the omicron variant is a good excuse for people not to do that. They don't care about people who bought tickets and made hotel reservations for things like the Gator Bowl.

What would I be feeling if Tech were in the CFP and I had spent my family's Christmas money on game tickets, plane tickets, and hotel reservations for our play off game? I would be very mad. For the very first time in my life, I unbelievably feel sorry for Georgia fans.

Omnicron is so contagious that by the time someone pops a test in your locker room you can pretty much guarantee a quarter of your team has had it. I’m not sure how Covid protocols work for this kind of highly contagious, less intense variant. I know the NFL changed their protocols and spread games out to get players back on the field. I’m praying the folks in Ann Arbor stay healthy because Michigan is getting slammed right now.

I think I'd rather have Georgia healthy for the Maize and Blue to rip them a new tailpipe. Then you don't get the little mutties whining about "well, if we had had enough people cleared to play" BS.
No, I look forward to a Michigan beatdown of the Dwags fair and square and all f'in day long.

Nah. The melt would be 1000x better if they had to forfeit due to COVID-19 and then it came to light the players were all out partying at the bars the week after Christmas.

I don't care if the inbreds play that "if " game or not. I will just say "if a frog had wings it wouldn't bump it's ass hopping"

ok ill play. what scenario would hurt the dogs most? i think losing to UM would be high up there. Cincy beating BAMA and UGA would be soul crushing.

but with covid ideal sitaution would be dawgs have to forfeit then UM beats BAMA....or UM UGA and Cincy all having to forfeit and BAMA declared champ.

i could do this all night. just need maximum pain.
