I’ve often wondered what CPJ could do at a school that had more recruiting advantages where he could run his offense with a true dual threat QB.

An interesting idea. I think the recruiting challenges were baked in to CPJ’s scheme and recruiting style... probably a major contributor to why he was never picked up at a larger school than GT.

I bet they hire PAUL JOHNSON and win 9 games next season. They’ll beat Alabama three times in Tuscaloosa, win bowl games, and finish in the Top Ten. But, man, when he leaves them in eleven years, they won’t have enough talent to beat The Citadel or win three games.

Arkansas doesn't have to do that.

Petrino proved they could win. Now they need to find a non-reprobate version. They haven't made a good long term hiring decision in 30 years.

I do laugh though at people knocking our lack of success this year, given I follow Arkansas. I know what a crap hire with absolutely no possible path to any kind of improvement looks like and we don't anywhere near have that.

I expect us to follow a lot closer to a Minnesota arc than an Arkansas arc.

They screwed up last time not going after Norvell (Memphis) or he told them he wasn't interested. He can do better now.

4 and 5 star skill positions players arent going to Ark to play in that offense, they will continue at LSU, AL,UF,UGAG,CLEM, AU,TX AM, OH ST,OK and the like.
