Playoff committee has stated playing in and losing your conference championship would not count against you. Basically they have said Miami can't leapfrog SMU because SMU has to play an extra game.

Teams shouldn't be penalized because they were better than another team all season but lost to another really good team while others are sitting at home.
 
If Clemson wins, they’ll be the only ACC team, and they won’t get a bye. This whole CFP rankings thing is totally horseshit and is completely in place solely so that the teams they want in , are in, and without having to offer any reasonable objective rationale for those picks. Sour grapes? An undefeated 13-0 ACC champion was left out on the sole reasoning that their QB was injured. Now watch a 3 loss uga get in with an injured mongoloid. They won’t even have to answer to the question. They’ll just do whatever tf they want. Fucl the cfp.

what playoff committee says and what they do are two different things.. nobody wants to watch a destroyed SMU team in the playoff

They have to put ugag in this year. They didn’t have to put fsu in last year.
