Championship Day Thread

Clemson taking advantage of SMU mistakes, will see if the can keep up if SMU offense gets rolling

what playoff committee says and what they do are two different things.. nobody wants to watch a destroyed SMU team in the playoff
That’s absolutely not the point. Same standards need to be applied to every team. They can’t say (b1g/sec) teams won’t be penalized for playing in a championship, then penalize teams.

I think they play it pretty non-controversial this 1st year of the 12 team playoff.

They do whatever tf they want.

I believe SMU had a conference schedule like Texas. Out of the top 5 teams in the ACC standings, SMU played one team … they beat Louisville by 7. They beat #6 Duke by 1 in OT.

ASU (15) - in
Clemson if they win (17) - in

5 teams are out… Iowa St is just in the way after their loss.
4 teams out… USCe, Ole Miss, Miami, Bama. I suppose they committee could leave SMU out for Bama, which would be BS.

If SMU wins it’s either Bama or Miami out. It’ll be Miami as there is no way they jump ahead of Bama in the final ranking.

I’m not watching this game after that call.

Something needs to be done about officiating. Unwatchable.
