Perhaps you forgot the defense forgot to show up for the first half of the Cuse game, most of the Louisville game and VT is horrible. We won’t know but many have said King was hurt in the UNC game. Two of those losses came before then.

I am also suggesting the team improved over the year. Defense by a good margin.

Defense did not forget to show up for Louisville. There were 2 TD’s from pick 6 and a blocked FG you nincompoop.

Defense and whole team had a rough outing against Syracuse no doubt but as I said then and maintain today: Syracuse was better than expected and we only lost by 3 on the road.

I’d put money on it now that smu won’t be in after Clemson beats them.

And if Clemson wins, and SMU is knocked out in place of Alabama with 3 losses (2 to bad teams in Vandy, Oklahoma) then it’s quite obvious that brand bias was the only reason. For SMU to go 11-2 with 2 quality losses (BYU, Clemson) and be left out would be a complete joke.
