Maybe you've got a little dain bramage yourself. I haven't said anything one way or the other about the targeting rule, about which I have no feelings. I just don't like seeing guys get their brains rattled. I don't know if it's more or less common than it used to be - protective gear is better, but dudes are a lot bigger and faster than they used to be, too. Now that we realize it's an issue, maybe there's something that can be done about it.

But by all means, keep bitching to yourself about targeting.

My head says Clemson should roll VPI, but my gut says VPI will give them a game. Dunno what to expect.

If a meteor hit the Penn State/Wisconsin game, I wouldn't notice or care.

Players get their brains rattled on every single play. It is unavoidable. That was my point.

Well of course, but the b1g is getting one in regardless. But the committee may choose penn st/wisconsin over ohio st. i think delaney was saying you wont hurt our feelings by taking ohio st instead.

Of course this renders his conference champioship game effectively meaningless.

It is effectively meaningless, IRL. I also don't think it's beyond the committee to deny the Big 10 entirely, for Oklahoma. If they were to say no teams without championships and then declare Oklahoma's resume better than Penn States, bang, the Big 10 is out.

In all seriousness though, they are in as öööö, because that would be stupid, but I obviously feel that they are in fact a stupid product of a deeply flawed process.
