Is that not stating the obvious? I'm sure they already know the pros of hiring a local guy, but are they ready for the likely "bumps" of hiring a guys who hasn't head coached D1 football?

BVG pissed off the GSU folks, but they still lean towards UGA and most of them always will with Erk Russell being the sole reason they exist as a football name. But there are some that would null their alliance or probably shift totally if GT puts them on the schedule every 5 years or so with PJ or Hatcher as HC.

This is starting to sound like dialog from Star Wars, which is appropriate for this board. Now you can be pissed off at me again.
 
I already sent my Hatcher email last week, and got the canned response. /shrug.
 
Yes, everyone please email D-Rad about this guy. It's obvious that he has the best chance of anyone to unite this fanbase. Even back when WM and RE were in the mix, Hatcher was still the #1 choice. I felt compelled to email him after hearing that interview.

I'm sure there are people on this board whose opinions matter infinitely more than mine to DRad, so if you are a Hatcher supporter, please shoot him an email.

Yeah, well it was a lot easier on us when y'all had Jim Donn_n. For several reasons. :mad:

My brother is a GSU grad and GT fan, and he has said similar things about how we'd pick up in-state fans hiring PJ. He personally would be on cloud 9. So would I.

Looks like you got PJ. Much more tolerable than Hatcher for me, but still gives me an odd feeling.

On a serious note thanks for your insight from a dawg perspective. If has been very interesting and done in a classy manner.
