Clemson/F$U Tonight

4th and 3. Seminoles couldn't block an aggressive infant from the cookie jar. I wonder how many times I will have to say "This is pathetic" before I feel like I've fully covered the sadness of the situation.

...
I had NO idea that they were starting two freshmen on the offensive line, despite some research for my ACC fantasy league. Who in their right mind thinks that a team with two frosh OLmen (not to mention a sophomore) is going to be top 20?
....

Is FSU's depth so poor that they need to start Freshmen on the OL? I can understand starting 'a freshman' if he is all world; but starting two shouts 'our other offensive linemen just ain't starting material'. Jimbo Fisher must be building for 2-3 years down the road.

God dozed off and the Noles just broke one down to the goal-line and scored on the ensuing play. The lead has been cut in half, but there's no way Clemson doesn't score anymore and there's definitely no way Florida State scores twice more.

Alright, I don't have ESPN because I'm a cheap bastard and I'm looking at gamecast. How the hell did Clemson "rush for a loss of 51 yards for a safety?"

What the hell is this? November has come early in Clemson, South Carolina.

punt snap over punter's head. Punter ran it out rather than lose field position.

Believe it or not, they had another horrible snap and I guess still fresh off the memory of their ordeal with us in the same situation, the punter had the sense to grab it and dash out of the endzone.

Alright, got it now. Gamecast called it a "rush for -51 yards" which made me think of some Tecmo plays gone wrong. Thanks for the update.

I'm guessing, but I think both injured linemen are still out for Clemson. Or hobbled. They have OL problems. It was known to be their weak link and two injuries probably could cripple them...

4th down. Going for it. Second timeout called because these kids couldn't manage a successful beer run.

Sweet Jesus. Touchdown FSU. Well, there goes our hope of knowing anything for certain about the ACC Atlantic tonight. Wake might not be out of it after all.

Clemson wins 24-18. F$U didn't really look that different tonight, despite hiring a new staff.

All I can say is how does FSU not have a quarterback better than Drew Weatherford? I realize that his OL wasn't doing a heck of a job blocking at the end of the game, but he really didn't do a good job managing the last two FSU possessions. Why did these years have to be the ones when FSU is not on our schedule?

All Weatherford had to do on 4th down was heave and he takes the sack. Then they get the ball back with 30 seconds left and he takes another sack with guys basically uncovered ten yards away. FSU is one year and one QB away from being very, very good.

FSU did come back and make a game of it --albeit without the snap over the punter's head I doubt FSU gets back in the game.

One thing I noticed throughout the game --and it's something you would have never said about FSU until the last year or two-- but Clemson just looked much quicker than FSU. There was a time when FSU had more speed on the field then most of their opponents --but that appears to no longer be the case.

They've also lost any swagger they once had. They looked defeated shortly after the game started. I didn't see the end of the game, so I'm not sure how they looked during the "comback."

Anyone else see the lineman that got called for holding get an earful from the coach?
