Clemson Game To BEE A White Out!

I would've picked a game like Virginia Tech, where it will still be fairly warm out and will likely be a HUGE game, probably on national television too, and the stadium will have a normal amount of opposing fans in it. But that's just me.

FYI, the VT game is Homecoming.

I haven't been a part of this very long...but I'm already sick of hearing "who's got a weak crowd in the ACC?" "The first one that comes to mind is Georgia Tech".

Who is saying that? The problem is that if every single Tech fan wears white, the stadium will sill be 2/3 white at best.

You're just playing the devil's advocate. You'll end wearing white tights like those in Behind The Green Door.

Hey I love the idea of a whiteout. I think it could work great and look very cool. I just think it's going to be very embarrassing(and not look very cool) when they are talking about it being a whiteout and tv and a third of the stadium is orange. The student section is going to look fantastic, as it did last year. I just wish we could do a game where most of the rest of the stadium could be white too, so we could get the effect all around.

Would it be less embarrassing if everyone was wearing the normal potpourri of gold and still 1/3 of the stadium was wearing orange?

We aren't trying to show off to the world our abilitiy to color coordinate, we're trying to get everyone excited and unified against the wave of clemson fans. They are all going to be wearing one color. Why not do the same thing?

I'm not that worried about the perception of seeing Clemson fans in the middle of our white. Clemson is known for being a great-traveling fanbase. ESPECIALLY when it's a Tech-Clemson game.

What will look worse is us publicly calling attention to our crowd all wearing white, and making a conscious effort to all dress in the same color to show unity...and then failing miserably because 1/3 of the stadium is orange(which, oddly enough, we all know is going to happen but we're going to blindly pretend it isn't right up until gametime). I know it's not a big deal in the end, but I just think a whiteout could be really cool, and instead of really cool we're going to get slightly embarrassing. On national TV. As the only game on. In primetime.

But that's the point. We don't need to make a big deal about it in the press. Just pass the word and have as many people as possible wear white. Everybody does it. It's not a statement anywhere except ugag. Let them be stupid about it and let's just have fun.

It's about US just doing something to support our team....if we are just DO IT, get on board, get vocal and super loud, don't you think that is the best message!!! Sure, this will be a nationally televised game. Sure it will be the only game on TV. And sure if we are ahead, the cameras are going to be all over the Tech sections. So let's stop the negativity, stop the "wish it was another game....another teeam"....whatever. Get on board.....it's still
