Clemson Game To BEE A White Out!

Why is it spelled bee? We aren't bee's. Drives me crazy when people do that...

then why do our cheerleaders say "im proud to be a fuzzy bee"

also, poster of ironic questions, who questions the name of a recruit despite using "yella" in his font

we are not Yella, we are Old Gold, so why are we the Yellowjackets?

This is an awful idea. It amazes me how they can get this wrong two years in a row. One year they do it when it's freezing, the next they do it when our ENTIRE NORTH ENDZONE and half of the rest of the upper deck is going to be ORANGE. At least the orange kind of blends in with the gold on TV; now we will just be pointing out how much of our stadium is inhabited by opposing players.
:bs:

Trust me, i'd change my name in a second.

Something tells me that no matter what color we wear as a school, a nationally televised game will show all the orange no matter what.

I'll be glad when our program reaches the point where this concern is not in the back of everyone's mind.

I mean, how much better do we have to get before the only visitors you see in our stadium are the the ones in the seats we allotted to the visiting team?

It seems like every aspect of our program is on the rise except one: the fan base.

Exactly. Orange blends with nothing. It seems to me displays of unity like the white out would be more effective when we have a large visiting crowd. :dunno:

I mean that just makes sense to me. Of course i'm not in the group that makes it a point to be contrarian about any effort to improve gameday experience, so maybe i'm not qualified to say that.

It's because all the largest issues hindering our fan base size don't have much to do with winning. The student support is hurt because the type of students here probably means less football fervor, especially among international students. We're hurt by the fact that the home town is a bigger fan of the other D1 school than of us plus the fact that Georgia Tech and Atlanta aren't the greatest of bedfellows.

It'll take at least some sort of championship to really start turning things around (beating Georgia, sad to say, can only get us so far).

My hope is that those of you saying you aren't going to wear white are just kidding to stir up some controversy before the season kicks off.

Orange.

Me too YJK. It drives me nuts.

Ditto

Because people used to wear yellow jackets to football games.

Do you not play NCAA 2009? You would know that.

Who is saying that? The problem is that if every single Tech fan wears white, the stadium will sill be 2/3 white at best.

I agree it shouldn't be that hard. IU did a stripe-out for one of its basketball games and it worked, and yet we can't even get one color down? For a link of the stripe-out, click here

If you win...they will come.

I was very impressed with our turnout for the bowl game at the dome...not so much with the result but....showed promise.

Thank you NCJacket....man, I can't believe the whinning going on. IT'S GOING TO BE A WHITE OUT....accept it! If "someone" thinks 1/3 of Bobby Dodd Stadium is going to be orange....great...you're brilliant! That doesn't mean TECH fans can't band together and do one thing that is simple. Get a grip!

Who cares? It's about having fun...stop being such a pain.

Agree! It's all about having fun. I know the players loved it last year vs Miami. They'll love this too, and know they're all for it!!

I'm ready to go WHITE vs Clemson!

Go Jackets!!

We play Vandy there on Halloween. We could all dress as the KKK and go up there as ghosts.

OK. Sick humor. Sorry. :o

+++. Would I suggest a white out? No. But if the students want us to do it, why not?

Hey I love the idea of a whiteout. I think it could work great and look very cool. I just think it's going to be very embarrassing(and not look very cool) when they are talking about it being a whiteout and tv and a third of the stadium is orange. The student section is going to look fantastic, as it did last year. I just wish we could do a game where most of the rest of the stadium could be white too, so we could get the effect all around.

I would've picked a game like Virginia Tech, where it will still be fairly warm out and will likely be a HUGE game, probably on national television too, and the stadium will have a normal amount of opposing fans in it. But that's just me. I will of course wear white when they ask me to.
