Clemson post game - NO VENTING

2 games lost this year due to stupidity, bad info, or bad luck?

When will GT EVER FREAKING LEARN to always bring the depleted uranium tip, bifurcated, cross cut cleats?

WHY IN HEAVENS NAME - WHY!!!!!!!!

On a positive note, that Wake Forest team we beat is pretty good--beat Louisville today.

I don't know which thread to post this in, but Clemson is just good. At this point they have become FSU of the 90s, only CPJ has actually beaten them several times.

Clemson beat VT down every bit as bad as they beat us. It was 24-3 in the 4th quarter before garbage points resulted in a 14 point game. VT QB looked pathetic. Sound familiar? Auburn couldn't even score a touchdown and had only 117 total yards. Lamar Jackson looked like a bitch against Clemson until the end when Petrino left him in to rack up charity yards against Clemson 3rd string.

When this Clemson defense is prepared, that is what they do. Syracuse is not the norm by any stretch - it is a result of 18-22 year olds not being focused.

The offense looked fine on the road at top 10 Miami. It looked fine railing VT last year, and it will again this year. I don't give a shit about UGA, either. They've had plenty of good defenses and given up plenty of yards and points to us year in and year out.

I want to beat uga and leave their defensive players so nicked up from our blocks that we help their opponent in the sec game. I want to beat them twice at the end of the season. Then I’m going to post the Jim Mora “playoffs?” video on Facebook and tag every mutt fan I can.

I for one am tired of having no hope entering this game. I don’t know what they do that is so different from everyone else. I get that they have great players but so have other teams on D Lines that we beat up. Clemson under Venables has only shown year-to-year improvement bearing us. It’s frustrating.

Now is not the time to be rational.

The offense looked fine vs Miami?!? I have a much different recollection of that game.

Welcome to the very small membership of GT fans who aren’t HWFO bigcries. This is my assessment as well. Clemson D is just another level of good. I think they got complacent on ‘cuse and couldn’t over come it once Kelly got hurt. I doubt they lose another game this year.

I don't know if it was just a good guess on my part or if there's more to it, but I was calling for Jordan and midline in the 2nd quarter of this game. When we play a defense with a really talented D line, they create havoc in the backfield and our speedy qb's make bad reads. I really wonder what we would've looked like at VT last year if JT was running the offense. When Jordan came in he was getting almost 5 yards every play. If he wouldnt have gotten hurt, they wouldve adjusted but that would open the edges more. Can TQM just not run midline at all? I thought for sure when he came back in CPJ would stick with it but he went back to the same play calling as before. Also, any status on MJ's injury? He may be this years Tim Byerly. Hindsight being 20/20, we probably shouldve used him on the 1st and goal possession in the 1st qtr.

You are probably remembering the end of the game when Benson got hurt and we tried to go conservative in the rain and let the D win it. We moved the ball fairly well with Benson in the game and nearly beat a top 10 team on the road despite suffering at least 3 key injuries during the game. I think "fine" is a pretty good descriptor.

We had 281 yards vs Miami and 230 vs Clemson. 281 yards isn't "fine" by my definitions.

The good from the game is Benson is a stud.

Is AJ Gray ok? Don't recall him returning

Clemson gives up 13.1 ppg, even including the Syracuse debacle. We scored 10 even with a horrible game from our QB. It wasn't fun to watch, but should we really be that surprised and butthurt about it?
