Clemson

Will Spiller be able to play after his injury yesterday?

Clemson has short week to prepare for our TO after facing a 4 receiver passing team yesterday.

CPJ will be hoarse from yelling by Thursday.

The whiteout should be more successful this year and will fire up the team.

This game is almost always close and has a history of thrilling endings.

I feel good about it this year.

This is traditionally a close game --and I have no reason to think any different about this season's meeting. I think we will be ready to play, iron out the mistakes and miscues --plus the second half letdown.

I'm telling you though, the dam* kicking game better improve now or it will come back to haunt us --particularly in a close game like I figure this one to be.

I've been watching the replay of the MTSU game and I'm not seeing anything out of their offense that particularly scares me. Spiller in the return game is always scary (if he's back). On offense, though, they seem to be pounding the ball inside with the power-I. Parker doesn't have a great arm, but does have the ability to scramble. Korn still has a tendency to make some very bad decisions.

I like us to win, but we're going to cut down on mistakes from Saturday.

ok --the heck with recent history. I'll go with the sh!tk!ck!ng! GTK you got that one marked down for me?

PJ changes it, there is no history. We have a unique coach that is about to take us to new heights. Clemson is a statement game, in front of the whole country. We have to carry the ACC torch this year on national Tv because the rest of the conference sucks and is a disgrace. I really believe like we come out like our hair is on fire.

Well, GT hasn't really put a whipping on CU since '89 --perhaps we are indeed due ...overdue, to do so.

They may have Spiller for KO returns, but we've got the Scott Blair Tackling Machine on our side!

Kicking game is a giant concern. Not only the FGs and PATs but the punting as well. I couldn't see what was going on but it takes a while for the ball to be kicked after Chandler gets it from snap. It's going to be blocked and returned for a TD if he doesn't kick it quicker.

Parker doesn't have a great arm, but does have the ability to scramble.
Of the parts I watched, it wasn't Parker that was the problem, it was Clemson's receivers that couldn't catch the passes.

getting jones back is going to be huge i think. i'm predicting a good game from dwyer and jones, and a game that is not as close as the score indicates. 33-24 Tech

Agree, also look for Allen to add pressure !

If yesterday's GT plays Clemson then GT loses.

Clemson has arguably the best d-line in the ACC. If our o-line can hang we will be in MUCH better shape than last season. We need to put them on the ground, make them lose confidence.

We need to stack the box on defense to help our young D-line and knock the crap out of Spiller. Force the freshman QB to throw into our experienced secondary. Speaking of secondary, they need to shut down Ford. Double coverage.

STOP FUMBLING!

MAKE EASY FIELD GOALS AND PATS!

If we can do that and get an int or 2 we can win by 20 easy. Mess up one, close game; mess up 2, Clemson wins.

I didn't get to watch the entire thing, but I saw quite a few drops as well. Parker just didn't make any throws that blew me away. The offense didn't do anything to scare me, but ours was lack-luster in our opener as well.

CPJ said "we'll have to be 100 times better on Thursday night or we'll get run right out of our own stadium."

If he's concerned, then I'm concerned.

It's motivation for the team. We could win 223-0 and PJ would still be concerned. Its why he's a winner.

I'm pretty sure CPJ is concerned because he saw a lot of flaws in execution and lackadaisical effort from his players.
