Correct, CPJ's recruits. CGC's players. Doesn't change the fact that the talent level that CGC recruits is higher than what CPJ recruited, and what we currently have.
We came out and tried to establish a power running game with TO. We got some players open but we couldn't make the plays necessary (remember the 4th down pass to a wide-open RB?) This gameplan led to a 15 play 80 yd drive that ended with a player fumbling at the 1 ft line. We stuck with this game plan even after falling behind until this QB again fumbled the ball away during the middle of what was looking like a methodical drive. This game plan wasn't sexy or pretty, but it was pretty apparent what he was trying to do.
After the multiple turnovers, they put in a new QB with a different skill set. They changed the game plan and started to throw the ball around a little more since that is that player's strength.
Did the defense not play well? Was there no gameplan there? They started to lean on us down the stretch with a big OL, but other than that the D came to play.
Nobody liked the results, but it is downright retarded to say there was no game plan. Don't be a retard.
Well, we know he was a pretty damned good coordinator at Mississippi State and later at Florida. The defense is at least showing signs of positive improvement on his watch.CGC is a great recruiter. I'm a little concerned about how good of a coach he will be though. No one is claiming that our talent level is high. The problem is we are underachieving with what we have.
Agreed the defense is better and that's been refreshing after years of poor defense. A good OC may be the missing piece.Well, we know he was a pretty damned good coordinator at Mississippi State and later at Florida. The defense is at least showing signs of positive improvement on his watch.
He kept the wheels on the Temple program after taking over for 2 years.
I don’t think he or any of our other coaches suddenly forgot what they are doing. I do think that they have not done a very good job of adapting to what is here. We should really just do what we did all last year and that is run 80% qb keepers.
Yes he is. Temple's Jrs and Srs beat us---figure it out. He's not wrong. His recruits beat CPJ's recruits..
That girl's clearly saying "who is this idiot I came out on a date with?"
Just kidding @Rodzilla. You'll always be my favorite ST meme.
Kept the wheels on !? They just went through a major turnaround and won 10 games in back to back seasons before he arrived.Well, we know he was a pretty damned good coordinator at Mississippi State and later at Florida. The defense is at least showing signs of positive improvement on his watch.

We were forced to rotate qbs because Graham injured his throwing hand during that drive.Nice story except for Graham played in the first half and Oliver's second fumble was in second half when we were once again rotating QB's in the middle of a drive. Graham got a first down, Oliver came in and fumbled on his second play of the series.
Collins got Ruhle's players at Temple. Johnson got Gailey's players, then Collins got Johnson's players. Who got the best deal?Kept the wheels on !? They just went through a major turnaround and won 10 games in back to back seasons before he arrived.
This is where both sides of the empty cupboard and and CGC is a bad coach crowd find themselves at an impassHis players at temple were ranked lower than the the Tech players they beat on Saturday.
Well, it certainly wasn’t in the endzone.Show us on the doll where CGC touched you.
