Collins press conference

"Yeah it's got some mileage on it but it's just a great family car, good mpg on this baby. Tires were recently replaced. What do you say we go to my office and put some numbers on it, see what we can do? Our special just ended but I can speak with the manager and get the deal for you anyway if you buy today."

I was just sure when they unveiled those fancy new uniforms a couple of days before the game, that was going to do the trick. I guess the player wearing it has to be good and coached up. I never would have guessed.

It's not just that he screwed the pooch on the hire, he doubled down with the length of the contract. If this is truly his dream job, Collins would have probably taken the job with a four year contract. I'm sure the thought has to cross his mind, "It lasted for 125 years, but it took me to finally kill it."

No but the players play with such enthusiasm - it's heartbreaking to see all their effort pissed away by a worthless defensive coaching staff.

I actually thought the offense was outstanding today outside of that stupid 4th and 19 call.
So you're willing to let the defensive players off the hook?
I'm not. Any GT alum who performed like that would not only be fired, he would be taken out back and have his ass whipped.

That decision is over my paygrade. I don't consider myself qualified to evaluate the players' results. I usually grade the players on what I think is their effort.

Whether poor results are due to poor effort or poor coaching is for others more knowledgeable then me to decide.
