And yet the insect has been one of our mascots for more than 100 years.Georgia Tech’s team name doesn’t come from the insect.

I think the honeycomb helmets work as a special once per season. Hated the bubble wrap jerseys though.
I agree- but I sure did like the 1990 blue top uniformsThat whole uni combo during the CPJ era made us look like some cheap XFL or NFL Europe team, or worse. Pee gold too. They were about as bad as the Pittsburg Pirate Unis of the late 70s in baseball. Some of the best unis were from the 1990 era, GOL and a few years of CG...and yes. Ditch the Blue pants. Personally I think the black watch unis we did recently were fly. We should bring that one back once a year, every year. Only wear white helmets if we do the throwback unis with Calvin Johnson was here otherwise only gold domes.. always.
"Colorful insecurity" is the ultimate description of all modern politics.Besides politics, nothing divides us more.
We certainly never wore solid blue uniforms until Johnson's last team wore them in Detroit for that bowl game.
Read what I posted. I said SOLID BLUE unis.Ummm.... what? We wore blue jerseys in CPJ's very first year, 2008 Peach Bowl against LSU (yes we would all like to forget it).
OK I re-read. Still don't understand. Seems like a lot of gold in 2018 as well. Perhaps you should revisit the definition of "solid."Read what I posted. I said SOLID BLUE unis.
I am talking about blue jerseys and blue pants. That's what I consider solid blue uniforms. Of course, the numerals and names and trim are going to be another color. But as far as I am concerned blue jerseys and blue pants in the same uniform look like crap ... at least for a team whose brand is the "White and Gold".OK I re-read. Still don't understand. Gold helmets, white unis, gold pants-This is the way.
When you were a child, did you think you were a Knight? When I was a small child I thought GT's colors were black and gold like an actual yellow jacket and Buzz.
The color of the T is f not right
Never liked that gold. Looks the same color our basketball court looked like a couple years ago.Ummm.... what? We wore blue jerseys in CPJ's very first year, 2008 Peach Bowl against LSU (yes we would all like to forget it).

Some dude laughed uproariously that he was able to slip in Picasso checking out those cans on the cover.September 9, 1952

I think that was largely Russell trying to define a fashion image. It failed. The chicken-wire unis of 2012 were the worst, IMPO. However, by 2014 that had been ironed out and Russell was providing the gold/white/gold classic unis that were sharp. The blue version of the year was nice, too., IIRC. So, it was a mixed bag to me - some bad, some good, most in the middle somewhere. The worst part was we looked different every year.GOL did this combo...for home and away. Like the Dallas Cowboys. Everyone knew what our unis looked like. I'm for the Old Skool Classic Look. I was all for the glory during the CPJ years but not the unis. We looked like a USFL team.
Wasn't expecting to find a Modern Lovers lyric in this thread. Nice.Pablo Picasso was never called an asshole. Not in New York City.
