Conference Championship Weekend

If Michigan wins I hope they leave TCU ahead so that we don’t have a conference match in the semifinals. But, I doubt that happens. Georgia will get TCU, unless they do the unthinkable and vault Alabama in. It would make no sense to take a two loss Bama over a two loss Tennessee given one of Tennessee’s two losses is to Georgia and Tennessee beat Alabama. There would be no rationale that makes sense. Penn State is the best two loss team. Clemson, if a two loss conference champion, is more deserving than Bama.

If Alabama gets it, it will be a travesty!! No way in hell does a 2-loss team deserve to be in the CFP, IMO.

Should Alabama be chosen over TCU, then I believe the CFP is fixed to get as many SEC teams in the mix
as they can. ESPN carries a lot of weig$ht with the selection committee.

Methinks the final poll should end as follows;
1-UGa
2-Michigan
3-TCU
4-Ohio State

I'll take bama over TCU now I don't think it'll be like that but bama would stand a chance

How the heck was that not targeting? Charlie ought to be pi$$ed.

Bennett is 25 years old and still in “school”, ööööing loser.

The only rationale would be that Hooker is hurt. The SEC could get two teams in if they have wins over the PAC XII and ACC Champs. The Big Ten was terrible OOC. This is all Texas’s fault.

“If?” You don’t already know this?

Say OSU beats UMich in OT in the semis? Why should OSU advance? They already got their butts kicked by UMich. At home! Shouldn't they play a tiiebreaker?

tOSU, USC, Bama, Tennessee, TCU . . . they all have major warts on their resumes. IMO, Bama's warts are the least, losing two road games in two ridiculously tough places to play, by four points on the final plays of the game. Yes, LSU beat them by 1 point. In Baton Rouge. Yes, Tennessee beat them by 3 points. In Knoxville. Bama wins both games easily in Tuscaloosa. And I HATE Bama. Just keeping it real! What I will say next is sacrilege . . . but after Bama, I'd pick USC. They beat everyone except Utah. Utah just happens to be their kryptonite. The first loss was on a two point conversion on the final play of the game. If that conversion failed, I have little doubt that USC would be in the playoffs. The second loss . . . their star QB was obviously injured. I hate USC, but I think they are (barely, because of defensive issues) one of the four best teams.

So if I could vote, it would be:

1. ugag 2. UMich 3. Alabama 4. USC 5. TCU 6. tOSU. 7. Tennessee 8. PSU 9. Utah 10. Brazil 11. Houston Texans

But the truth is . . .

THIS year . . .

they should get rid of the semis and just pit UMich vs ugag. Those are the only two teams who inarguably belong.

Any GT fan should want Bama in over TCU. TCU will get slaughtered in the playoff. At least Bama stands a chance since their payroll is way higher than what TCU is able to shell out.
TCU is a cute story and all but there are no Cinderella's in modern day high dollar college football.
